  1. The RS5 is considred to be the highest performance version of the Audi A5 series. Before I continue about the upcoming 2013 Audi RS5 facelift, let me talk a bit about the RS5 for those who are not familiar with it. Intially presented at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, the RS5 features a naturally aspirated 4.2 litre V8 engine. It produces 444 bhp and 430 N m or torque. It solely comes with a 7 speed S-tronic transmission. Enough talk about the RS5, lets continue about its facelift. The biggest change the Audi RS5 receive is on its front end. While the overall shape remains unchanged, the centre grille gets Audi's new clipped top corners and more subtle grille trimming. The headlights are more chiseled now compared to the old rectangular ones. The line of LEDs on the old headlights are replaced with more modern looking light tubes that runs almost around the headlights housing. The side window trim is now black instead of a metallic shade. The new taillights housing cover are of a darker shade. Interior wise, Audi didn't change much except for a new steering wheel and gear knob. What remains unchanged are the engine, transmission, suspension and its all-wheel drive components but the brake rotors gets a revised design which shaves a total of almost 3kgs on all four corners of the car.
  2. After showing off its recent tune up of the Audi A1 1.6TDi turbodiesel , Senner Tuning have now released pictures of a very yummy chocolate brown colored Audi A5 2.0TFSi cabriolet. This car looks very good in a color that usually looks very dull on a car but here it looks stupendous in it with those silver bits and polished alloy wheels. This look could be a new trend coming up here. Anyway, Senner Tuning upgrades the looks of the A5 cabriolet with an AUDI RS5 style grill and bumper, silver RS type side mirrors and a lowered stance achieved by KW Inox coilovers paired with 20 inch Varianza TIS alloy wheels and rubber bands for tires. Lovely indeed. The 2.0liter direct injection 4 cylinder engine has some ECU tweaks as well as a Senner Tuning custom stainless steel exhaust system. This bumps up the power to around 275bhp (up from 211bhp) and also hammers out a nice 430Nm (from 350Nm) worth of torque. The interior gets little bits of carbon fiber tacked on the doors, rear side interior panels, center/gear level tunnel and parts of the dash. The steering wheel and the dashboard gets its fair share of carbon too. All the better to spruce up a dashboard that is pretty similar to the 4 door A4. There are limitless possibilities when it comes to customizing a car, and according to the press release, Senner Tuning expects to sell the tuning bits that you can see and read in here for around 20,000Euro (add that to the 55,000Euro for an A5 cabriolet), Chocolate brown paint included. Very Yummy indeed.
