  1. Honestbee to open new high-tech Grocery & Dining Megastore https://www.greatdeals.com.sg/2018/10/17/honestbee-habitat-grocery-cafe-megastore-alexandra-opening-launch For those lazy to click on link and read, Ive done the hardwork for yall. Another place to hangout? Or just a matter of time when this will fail too............. How sustainable are these mega stores. Look at Decathlon, Don Don Donki. Are these also a matter of time in tiny SG? It won’t be just another online grocer or food delivery service for Honestbee as the company opens a new brick and mortar store that mixes supermarket with cafe concepts at Alexandra this week. Called the Habitat, it will be Honestbee’s first venture on a physical space that offers the world’s first tech-integrated multi-sensory grocery and dining experience. Habitat will come with a grocery section that carries fresh ingredients directly sourced from farmers and producers around the globe including Japanese spices, dry-aged meat, prosciutto on demand, limited edition balsamic vinegar and unique seasonal produce. It will also house over a dozen cafe and dining concepts including Korean fried chicken from KF Chua, milkshakes and premium ice cream from Milk Made, bubble tea and kombucha from Mr Bubbles, craft beers from White Moustache and much more. Food Meets Technology Besides good food and fresh groceries, Habitat by Honestbee will also be tech-enabled that offers cashless transactions, fully automated checkouts with robots and conveyor belts that manage the packing and collection. Habitat opens this Thursday, 18 October at 34 Boon Leat Terrace. Nearest MRT stations at Pasir Panjang and Labrador Park.
  2. In recent days commuters in Singapore have cultivated the good habit of forming an orderly line before entering the train at the MRT station, but one auntie ups the ante by queueing -- with her grocery bags. Stomper Safwan spotted a middle-aged woman placing her grocery bags near the doors on the MRT platform yesterday, Jan 28, in a bid to chope her place in the queue before boarding at Ang Mo Kio station. According to him, she had placed her groceries on her floor before proceeding to have a seat. Other commuters, thinking it was some unattended bags, picked them up and tried to move them away or find the owner. The auntie then shouted from her seat, asking them to leave the bags alone and to put them back in their place. She told everyone she just wanted to rest, while still having a place in the queue. The Stomper said: "I find it inappropriate to do this as people might trip over if they don't notice the bags.." All the other commuters then proceeded to queue behind her grocery bags, waiting for the next train to arrive. As we all know ron97 now at RM2.50, alt way is to pump ron95 @ RM1.90. I know people will say rm2.50 still cheap, but bros out there who have been pumping MY petrol sld have feel the pain right? The caltex pump (opp esso n shell) near pelangi plaza, if u build rapport with the cashier, smile smile, offer him cigs... after a few weeks, pumping ron95 is not an issue! I normally go in wkday ard 11pm with a group of frens... Anther thing is to use maybank C.C (singapore issued), can get additional 5% cashback on petrol pumped in MY. Anyone with lobangs to chip in?
  5. To All JB Grocery Shoppers, My kids frequently cough and have phlegm (once every 2 weeks) due to allergies and about a month back, I started them on goat milk and their situation have improved. My kids love the goat milk sweets as well. The brand of Goat Milk & Sweets is called Karihome, imported from M'sia and distributed here by the same co. but it is pretty expensive, S$48 for 900gm & Assorted Sweeties 200's is S$19.90. I suppose it should be cheaper if I get it from JB, anyone knows the pricing? TIA!
