More derangement caused by integration issues. Tension has grown in the recent months between some Silat Avenue residents and the tenants putting up at the HDB hostels there. On April 29, a tenant from the Back Packer Hostel, located on the ground floor of Block 149, Silat Avenue, said he was scalded by hot curry thrown down from a flat above. The Indian foreign student, Mr Sukhjinder Singh, 22, believes it happened because residents there are upset that the hostel tenants in the area have allegedly made the estate noisier, especially late into the night. Did a stupid move two days ago: placed my iPhone 4 next to a glass of water and when moving my right hand accidentally hit the glass and toppled it to cause the water inside to splash over my battered but trusty phone. In a panic quickly removed the external cover to find that inside the cover also got water. The phone display still looked ok then. Hum liao siao liao jia chao liao.... Next used my T-shirt to dry the phone while at the same time switched my brain cells on to be on NOS mode... My follow-up actions are described as follows: 1) Set phone's Auto-Lock to Never; 2) Connected phone to charger; 3) Placed phone on top of my SH decoder which was switched on; These steps are to heat up the phone and hopefully dry up any water or vapour which might have seeped in and I left this desperate set-up like that for about 5 hrs. Then the moment of truth.... While still connected to the charger I activated a games app which was my present fav Shake Spears. when there was no music though the app started out normal and went to start mode. Tried other apps and same thing happened - Bo Siah!!!! Luckily the ringing sounds ok when I tested it so the speaker seemed no affected. Bo bian left the same set-up as it was until early morning then tried again and... SUCCESS!!!!!!! This time round there was music coming out when playing game apps. HURRAY!!! LESSON LEARNT: Never placed your phone, SMART or not, next to any liquid in a glass. Heck, it is better not to place ANY sensitive electronic stuff next to any glass containing any liquid. Until today still keeping my fingers crossed... Or maybe it's time to upgrade my outdated iPhone hor?

I had been stay in this unit for more than 3 yrs. Yesterday saw my neighbour house was been splash with red paint and there was some message left on the wall ( something like O$P$) but i did not pay attention on this. This morning found my gate and door was splashed with red paint. My other neighbour told me her house was affected as well. All the units were been "decorated" with red paint except the unit which suspected owe the money. My neighbour even told me they already make the police report and police only came to take photo. No action and nothing much can do as according to them. I was damn pissed off but nothing much can do except clean the gate and door. According to my friend who have the similiar experience told me this is only the starting state and expect more to come. So right now, I really lost as afaird they will come again even after i clean and do not know what kind of "art" will facing on next. What can I do? Is anyone here facing this type of scenario b4? What is next step for ah long? Any way to prevent it?

This morning went to top up petrol at Caltex. Pump attendant triggered the pump even before he placed it into the tank. Left side and and back door got splashed with quite a bit of petrol. I had a couple of words with the pump attendant but he said it was no big deal. I insisted that he washed away the residue immediately and that's what he did but a bit casually though. Can any MCF brudders advise if this would damage the clear coat? Had polished with DG 105 just last week and hope this would lessen any "potential damage".

Did anyone here or has got friend whose (I think) Subaru WRX in Bishan this morning found car splashed with paint?
