  1. Everybody hates car accidents---- especially car owners. Usually accidents on the road are caused by the errant drivers themselves.... But what if they were caused by the passenger you just accepted? Had you known of what would soon take place to your precious vehicle, would you still have taken on this passenger? That's right; probably not--- and we bet this PHV driver thinks so too! This dash cam footage from a third-party vehicle showed the moment the passenger door swung open and right into the face of an oncoming taxi. 293443465_548259580365081_7550106539844055768_n.mp4 Oh Boy. Ouch! That, my friends, was just the sound of hearts shattering and wallets shriveling up everywhere... This shows the exact moment of impact: We can only imagine the utter horror of the driver as he heard the sickening thud of his precious Honda door, slamming into the unforgiving exterior of the Comfort Delgro taxi... Criticism incoming: Netizens took to the comment section, making their thoughts known: There were some who provided some valuable insight and advice: And one even asked the pressing question we all want to know the answer to: Naturally, we assume the passenger would be the one paying as it was their fault after all... But again, that is not always the case. One netizen made a rather aptly-worded statement: Expensive, yes, expensive indeed! The total bill for the damages appear to be as stated below: Ack! Oh my heart! How it aches for the wallet involved... What is the moral of this story, if you will? We can agree that such an incident was very unfortunate and the most gut-wrenching part? It could have been easily avoided! A little care and caution goes a long way. I am sure the passenger, taxi driver and the PHV driver would agree. I hope the PHV driver gets his repairs done soon so that he can continue to drive and pick up his passengers on the daily. After all, that is his main source of income. Isn't it astounding how one action can cause so many ripples in the course of life? Just as well, I really do hope the passenger exercises more caution in the future! Not just for their wallet's sake, but for the safety of others too! ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 2. The situation happened this way. I live in Serangoon gardens estate and for my place, there is this Tennis Court on the left side of the road. On the right side of the road, are houses. Usually people who are regulars there will NOT park inside the tennis court as have to pay URA standard half hour 50 cents On the left side of the road, is a continuous yellow line, i have not taken my test but i think it means no parking from 7am to 7pm or whichever, please correct me. So happen, we have a feeder Bus service 317 that plies this already so narrow road. Usually houses which have more den 1 car would park their cars along the RIGHT side of the road. We have lived her for so many years and this is the first time we have seen such a thing. I was as usual watching tele with my parents in the living room when i heard the CONTINUOS long horn of the bus. POOR SBS BUS. Horned for 10 mins! I was still thinking NEVER MIND. it could be some car blocking or some Forklift or crane that was blocking as there're some houses here which are undergoing construction. THEN THEN It struck me that it's already 815pm at night. What would be blocking? So after 10 mins of honking, i decided to go be typical Sporean Kpo and go out and see what is blocking the bus. To my HORROR, I saw the bus in a 45 deg position. ( GREEN ARROW) Then i saw this freaking Altis, YES I CALL YOU FREAKING ALTIS. Parked IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD!! Wah!!! I was like NB CB wad happen sia? Altis is in GREY GREY. Altis is on LEFT side of the road. Usually no one parks in the middle of the road lah. Unless there's someone inside. But this fella happily went into the Tennis centre and was playing tennis. When i reached the bus, the passengers all had the angry look and stunned look and some gave me the " IF YOU'RE THE ALTIS DRIVER, GET OUT OF THE WAY NOW ?" kind of look. But i shoke my head. Then i saw the bus uncle. It was my favourite uncle and he recognised me. I told him and suggested why not i ask my immediate neighbour, Red car, to move his vehicle so the bus could squeeze past the Altis, if the bugger doesn't come out. Then my neighbour was about to do it, when i stopped him as finally this guy came out. YAYA PAPAYA come out act as nothing happen. Serangoon gdns happens to be quite a SENIOR estate so few old men gathered and just said, HEY HELLO PLS DON'T PARK HERE AND MOVE LAH. BUS NEED TO MOVE. Guess what that guy said? Bugger: BUT SINGLE YELLOW LINE WHAT? I CAN PARK? THE BUS MOVE HIMSELF LAH? I was damn Shocked and i shouted @ him, not caring whether i was younger or what. I said, EH BROTHER, LOOK, YOU'RE IN THE WRONG AND YOU'RE TALKING BACK TO ELDERS? YOU P PLATE DON'T ANYHOW CHUT STUNT LEH? With that he just moved his car front by about 20 m. The bus was still blocked. Bus uncle got so mad that he almost accelerated into the Altis and HONKED the daylights out of him. Altis Buey sung and still act yaya and park in the middle of the road. Den after the bus moved off, he still chut reverse stunt, maciam Fast and furious 3 tokyo drift. Reverse so fast and almost buang the kerb. Wah piang! These kind of people deserve to be shot man! P plate wanna come and chut stunt like that. Cause the whole lane of people to come out of their houses and den kpo. Wah piang! Den he still had the cheek to talk back to the uncle who is about 70 years old. Piang eh! To this little p plate bugger a-----e, if you're in MCF? SHAME ON YOU AND I DON'T KNOW HOW THE HELL YOU PASSED UR LICENSE! If anyone knows this guy, please tell him to retake his BTT again! Wah! Damn angry! See the picture to get a clearer picture!! Grey - Bugger Altis Red and Pink - Residence car parked CORRECTLY. GREEN - Poor SBS bus got stuck! I FORGOT TO ADD. He parked there only for 2 reasons. 1) His eyes are COCKED and don't know there is a 20 Lot Carpark inside the tennis centre 2) He is stingy and wants to save 50 cents! or maybe at the most 1 hour for his hourly tennis session? What for save the 50 cents or 1 buck and get one bus load of passengers waiting and all flustered? And even if he wants to save the money, CAN, But PLEASE, park at somewhere NOT obstructive to the road lor? Walao. Really dunno wad to say. Bo wei Gong! His brains still at home!
