what if the 7 witness lodge an attempted murder report? Will this be classify as criminal case?

i think if the 7 ppl lodge police reports separately, should have a higher chance tat someone will act on it.

the news also not very clear....

 

is the driver arrested for :

 

1) driving in manner that endanger others' lives; or

2) hitting another stationary car and leaving the scene but with no human injury?

 

the report seems to suggest that 2) is the reason but I think otherwise. Because so many other cases of 2) happens before and TP usually reply that it is a civil suit to be settled between the car owners and their insurance company since no injury to human.

 

i thought he should be arrested for 1)

think they have to look for the applicable law to charge this guy (dangerous driving without due care???). damage to other vahicle is likelya civil suit for the victim to claim compensation.

yeah....i think the news by reporting this way, will give a lot of inexperienced car owners false hope thinking they can get the TP to arrest the guy who fled the scene after damaging their cars.

In Singapore, there's nowhere to run to lah! Run can, but hide cannot. This stupid fella should have just stopped and faced the music. Would've been nothing more than a claim against his insurance. Now he's facing a jail term I believe...
