Subaru has unveiled the all-new fourth-generation Impreza at the New York Motor Show, which it claims to be more efficient than the outgoing model.

Which is all well and good, but what happened to the Subaru of before?

Subaru used to be known for their cutting edge design and technology. Its Legacy models were handsome and understated-looking executive cars, and the Impreza were highly impressive performers, as evidenced by their success in the World Rally Championship during the 1990s.

However, ever since it withdrew from rallying a few years ago, the company seems to be going downhill. The Legacy now looks like a mess, and now we have this dull-looking new Impreza.

I don't know about you, but this new model doesn't come across as very exciting to me. I don't think car enthusiasts will go ga-ga over the new Impreza.

What's happened to Subaru?

Now it looks so volvoish

the new ah pek legacy can look pretty mean with bodykit, huge rims.

For some reasons.....ugly imprezzas will eventually become acceptable in looks especially after the WRX or STi comes out...until the next uglier model comes out.

From Bug eye to pig nose to the current one...it's all the same..

Proton Persona looks much better and oh yes, it was a design years back. Still look good.

Proton Persona looks much better? It's basically a Gen 2 right? Very "Malay" feel to it actually.

Side profile still looks pretty for the hatch. Interior looks pretty ok..

Best looking impreza of present day is the new 2011 widebody sedan wrx/sti

Best looking impreza of the past few years is the cockeye version

Other than the absence of the frameless windows, I thought this upcoming Impreza is much nicer than current Impreza Sedan. Interior should be by far the best looking (dashboard looks kind of like Golf and IS 200, especially the centre console) with quality soft touch plastics to the dashboard and door panels.

Very much looking forward to its arrival in Singapore

  • 10 terrible wedding songs

A song can have a catchy title and/or chorus, but its true meaning is only found within its lyrics. If you're planning your wedding, any song about breakups, cheating/infidelity, and being the other woman has no business being part of the reception playlist. Most people, however, take the song title to be its meaning and don't consider its actual content. Here are 10 songs that sound romantic but should be avoided. 10) Irreplaceable – Beyoncé Don't mistake this for being

Your next action film recommendation: Battle Los Angeles

I’ve always held a keen interest in the armies of the world, the wars that raged, and the weapons used. Therefore, I usually appreciate a movie (preferably an action film) if there’s an army element and lots and lots of bullets involved. Well, Battle Los Angeles (2011) doesn’t disappoint. With explosive battles and intense drama, you find yourself rooting for a group of resilient Marines tasked with defending Los Angeles from an alien invasion force. And yes, it’s on Netflix (for now), and

Why I bought Fanta Orange and hand carried it back from Germany

    - The curious case of the European Fanta - I paid 5 Euros for a small 500ml bottle of Fanta Orange and brought it on my carry-on bag, on a 13+hours flight to bring it back to Singapore. You might be wondering why; after all we can get Fanta Orange in Singapore - it's a Chinese New Year staple! BUT NO! European Fanta is DIFFERENT! From its colour, to its taste, the European Fanta is unique and better, and I would say it tastes closer to Origina (which is like the best fizzy orange drink

Manchester United's "promising" transfer window should be taken with a pinch of salt

Having followed this club for more than 20 years, I'm well aware that a promising transfer window does not directly equate to an improved season. Forwards Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, as well as Diego Leon, the young Paraguayan wing-back, have been Manchester United's signings for the 2025 summer transfer window so far. On paper, this team should have no problem challenging for silverware. On the pitch, the current crop of players finished 15th last season. While both Cunha and Mbeumo ha
