Some of the readers may recall that I blogged about a Toyota Camry which was parked in such a way that the bonnet was sticking out of its designated parking lot by a fair bit. Recently, I saw a BMW 5 series which was the complete opposite of the Camry

This is what I call a considerate driver . I always did that too.. But base on this photo , it seems to me that the issue lies on the carpark lot. The maroon car next to it was also very near to the wall. I already saw quite a number of inconsistent sizes of the carpart lots..

Everything has been increasing , but service and product quality has decreased . .

Wheel stoppers. The two little "kerbs" per lot that stop your wheels. I park against that when available. New HDB car parks have them now.

5 Series is quite long...I used to drive a E34...first couple of time I park, I will use my wing mirror and the parking lot marking as a guide...you would be surprise if I park until my car nose is in the lot....how freaking close I am to the wall. Some idiot can't park to save their live....I have a Jag at my place who park nose in...but his car is forever at an angle and part of the backside is out of the lot....then there are those who reverse park with half the car sticking outta the lot...I near bang into one Sunny the other day after turning off the ramp...secretly...I was hopping that someone would bang the stupid car.

i will never park my car this way even if my car's front is sticking out of the lot but i'll be sure not to park near the carpark ramps so that it won't cause too much of an obstruction

  • Tennis: Beautiful game that doesn't know how to count

Wimbledon just concluded yesterday (congrats Sinner!), and it's a reminder of how much I enjoy tennis as a sport. I used to play it some (wasn't particularly good), and still tangentially follow it nowadays (the Roland Garros final this year between Alcaraz and Sinner is an all-time classic).  There's something intrinsically mesmerising about the sport, I think even for spectators who have never picked up a racquet. At first glance, it may seem like just two people (or four, but doubles is

How are we already in June?

During lunch with my mother a couple of weeks back over yong tau foo, I was asked about my opinion on the latest NDP song. And of course, as expected of any chronically insular millennial, my reaction was: “Huh? There’s a new NDP song?” But of course there is. And I say this not to disparage the wonderful songwriters and musicians that provide an anthem to remember the nation’s birthday by annually, but to knock into my own mind the harsh reality: We’re already in mid-June.  It fe

    More aliens on Earth?

"Scientists Just Discovered a Creature That Breaks the Rules of Life". I mean, that's quite the headline.  Sukunaarchaeum mirabile is also quite the name to pronounce. But yes, that's the name of a recently discovered organism that apparently challenges the traditional scientific definition of 'life'.  There's a fair bit of scientific jargon to sieve through, but the quick summary is this: Cells are considered "alive" because of their ability to self-replicate and reproduce, whereas vi

Cordless vacuum cleaners: A young adult's best friend?

Every young adult probably arrives at the same point when they’ve started working for a few years: Household chores start to become more enjoyable. Don’t get me wrong – they don’t have to be one’s favourite activity on earth. But chores start to make sense: An environment that’s put-together is always a welcome haven, whether it’s returning home after a long day out, or simply staying in over the weekend (or when you’re working from home.) As a young adult myself, I've come to appreciate an
