The Opel Corsa engine portfolio is expanded with a powerful and efficient 120 bhp 1.4 liter turbocharged ecoFLEX gasoline engine with a Start/Stop system. It will make its debut together with the new All Black/All White Corsa colour themes. The turbocharged 1.4 liter ecoFLEX unit will also be available across the rest of the Corsa line-up starting this summer in Europe.

It drives the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox and enables both the three- and five-door versions of the supermini to reach a top speed of 195 km/h with a century sprint timing of 10.3 seconds. Although it churns out more horsepower than its rival, the Polo Sport, the baby VW sprints faster to the 100km/h mark at 9.7 seconds.

Thanks to the fuel saving Start/Stop technology, both the three and five door Corsa variants with the 1.4 turbo ecoFLEX unit consume petrol at a rate of 5.5L/100km with CO2 emission as low as 129 g/km.

The All Black model is finished in a Carbon Flash shade and the All White in a Casablanca White paint. The logo bar across the front grille is also body-coloured and elegantly blends in with the rest of the vehicle. The uniquely painted and polished 17" bicolor wheels match the All Black / All White body color and give the Corsa a contemporary look.

On the inside, there are white air vent rings for the All White Edition and matt chrome rings for the All Black version. Both models get special seat fabrics with silver coloured seams as standard along with sport pedals, multi-function leather steering wheel and dark tinted windows.

On the option list is the unique Flex-Fix integrated bicycle carrier, Adaptive Forward Lighting system (AFL), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and park assistant.

  • Manchester United's "promising" transfer window should be taken with a pinch of salt

Having followed this club for more than 20 years, I'm well aware that a promising transfer window does not directly equate to an improved season. Forwards Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, as well as Diego Leon, the young Paraguayan wing-back, have been Manchester United's signings for the 2025 summer transfer window so far. On paper, this team should have no problem challenging for silverware. On the pitch, the current crop of players finished 15th last season. While both Cunha and Mbeumo ha

How are we already in June?

During lunch with my mother a couple of weeks back over yong tau foo, I was asked about my opinion on the latest NDP song. And of course, as expected of any chronically insular millennial, my reaction was: “Huh? There’s a new NDP song?” But of course there is. And I say this not to disparage the wonderful songwriters and musicians that provide an anthem to remember the nation’s birthday by annually, but to knock into my own mind the harsh reality: We’re already in mid-June.  It fe

Japan is weird. I love it (Part 9)

You know when you go to a mamak shop or Good Price and see those brightly coloured plastic toy 'instruments' that you would buy for kids to bang away on? Well, someone (Japanese, of course) had the idea to basically turn that into an actual musical instrument.  I present you: The Otamatone.  The Otamatone originated in Japan in 1998, thanks to the creative minds at CUBE Works and Maywa Denki. This playful music instrument boasts a quirky, note-inspired design that has captured the imag

I have a new favourite game - Dave the Diver!

Nowadays I think many people have a Nintendo Switch, considering how it is often given away as a free gift when you sign up for credit cards, etc. Instead of just playing Mario Kart, Overcooked and Pokemon, I have another game to introduce to you all! The game is Dave the Diver. This game has completely captivated me with its delightful blend of adventure and relaxation. From the moment I dove into its vibrant underwater world, I was hooked. The gameplay mechanics strike that perfect b
