Exactly. I dunno why, but SG laps up the Peugeot marketing. Maybe it was the cool ads, maybe the nice design. But the cabin in the 206 actually feels (sorry to say) cheap. The 307 is a little better. Dunno lei. The Renault cabin actually looks more lush than the Peugeot. and even then, it wasn't very appealing to get into.

The 206 is a "good to look, no good to eat" car. Turns heads among folks who don't know a thing about cars and somewhat desirable to them. But in my opinion, it deserves to remain in a toy-box where it belongs! [laugh]

Ford Focus or Renault Megane?

Will like the Focus, but will confirm Megane due to:

1. Regent motor service sucks - die die must stick to Regent service

2. No other workshop is authorised/know how to service Ford

Megane - Few workshops available apart from Excl & BCC (Espace, few others)

- There is road side assist

- More powerful engine and more aftermarket gadgets (At least now)

Back to the orginal question, Focus or Megane.Definitely the Megane.

Actually I'd go for the Megane RS even though the WRX or EVO picks-up a wee-bit quicker, but then again there are only 8 in SG (about 4 on the road right now) and no way for sedans to be dressed up with body-kits to pretend [laugh]

umm... driving a moonroof 206 here. has served me well for about a yr alrdy. i think the interior's a bit sucky compared to other makes too. but otherwise, everything's fine and dandy with the car... the handling's rather nimble and usually still the 1st to leave the lights compared to most other 1.6L models (cos it's small lar [laugh] ) btw, ever driven one b4? cos i'm a bit interested in how u came to this opinion...

tried 1 b4, but find the 307 a much better car. will compare the 206 with the previous Opel Tigra. "ho kua, bo ho chiak"

think you're right. from march this year onwards, the megane has been selling pretty well. has a lot to do with the 7 GP wins and 4 podium finishes by alonso and fisichella.

for a lot of "normal" drivers, owning a car the same brand as the F1 Winner is a big thrill, which is why so many people lust for a Ferrari even though they can never afford one. but a Renault .... can still afford.
