Dearest car audiophile, read this message from a magazine that the so-called "K2 processing" and its proclaimed JVC remastered CD by "ABC International records" are reported to be dubious or FAKE.

JVC, through its solicitors, has explained that JVC has yet to produce K2 or XRCD remastering for "ABC". They added that ABC has sold its so-called "XRCD" CD at half of the original XRCD CDs in the market and CDs from ABC are of lower quality, fake, and was not QC by JVC's K2 and XRCD standards.

And of course, JVC will be taking ABC records to action.

For people out there that has gotten CDs from ABC labels, tough luck.

Was at SMC recently and the salesgirl gotten me to sample a new compilation of the Dire Straits special edition that comes in 2 CDs for the price of $29.90. Its recording label is "Mercury Records". Pure Female vocals and clean guitar fingering works, this is one album you should not miss. I have gotten two albums at one go because its simply soothing.

Tuck and Patti are a husband and wife group, what caught my attention - the CD was very well pressed, you can't tell from the CD cover. The space and air of the recording studio could be felt right away. The finger play on the accoustic guitar is just marvellous.

The whole album is worth mentioning and I like their version of "As Times Goes By".

Surf their webpage and listen to some of their works, it will definitely capture you...

Hi,

Han Hong - A Tibetan Chinese singer to watch out for if you are into or beginning to like Chinese singers or records. Well, Andy Hui has recently cut and launched a new album featuring some duets with her and thereafter, became sworn bro and sister with her. She was purported to be a very famous singer in China and sings a variety of songs ranging from tribal to pop songs but her name has yet to really sweep Asia. I have gotten hold of one of her later album and I thought, her look has really betrayed her voice. Try her CDs out in the CD shops and leave your feedback behind in this ODD TO BE A STICKY THREAD (hee...moderator pls make this thread sticky).

I have affixed one of her album for you to see how she looks like.

Heehee laugh.gif no offence but her vocal is really commendable.

English: CHRIS DE BURGH Love Songs ( Must try ) It's with a yellow cover.

Cantonese: HACKEN LEE , anything from him , i just love his controlled soothing vocals.

Hokkien: XU JING CHUN, not famous BUT she's got this damn great vocal which makes hokkien songs sounds not hokkien heh heh

Mandarin: CHEN JIE LI, from china, very young and only 18 but her voice is crisp and powerful, sounds like a combination of DENG LI JUN and CAI XING JUEN. She did a couple of numbers from Faye Wong and Leslie Cheung which sounds just wonderful.

Agree no more with you that Chen Jie Li is yet another up and coming one, can sing mandarin and cantonese. A must have in the CD case or compartment. My all time favourite as well. 5 stars!
