Easyrider 6th Gear September 7, 2005 Share September 7, 2005 Just heard that VW is selling the Polo now at about S$65K?? That's the same price as the 'new' 16v Fabia units from CA... I think in other countries, Fabia is supposed to be about 15% cheaper than the Polo Hmmm... could this be the reason why CA is discontinuing the Fabia line in Singapore? ↡ Advertisement

C708 Neutral Newbie September 7, 2005 Share September 7, 2005 E, The Fabia shares the same platform as the Polo.......its just that the Fabia is supposed to be the " lesser " version of the Polo so to speak the Czech cousin of the Polo

At this price, go for the VW Polo After all, you know much about the history surrounding the Fabias which are still sitting with CA.

Easyrider 6th Gear September 10, 2005 Author Share September 10, 2005 Actually after reading that they only had auto, not interested liao.... Still prefer a manual as for the heavy Fabia/Polo platform really need manual to get an enjoyable drive, otherwise too slow liao... But I heard that there will be a GTI version which will use the VAG 1.8T engine like the one from the Superb, can do 0-100 in 8 secs Hopefully, it will be a manual if they bring it to Singapore!
