Another stupid klasse question...

got a question about the SG. after application, car surface feels smooth and creamy. but after a few days, i think the feeling is almost all gone. so i've been applying a layer a week for the last 3 weeks already, i.e. 3 layers

so the question is, is SG there when it doesn't feel like it anymore?

Yes,it is there even you don't feel the slick.

If you have time just keep doing the layering of KSG. Only when you feel somewhere is

rough to touch, then you can clay before you apply KSG,

After 5-6 months I suggest you do the whole process again, wash, clay, AIO & layering

SG.

To restore slickness you can use Sonus Acrylic Spritz or Menzerna Acrylic shield.

Both are easy-to-use QDs well suited to maintaining a Klasse finish.

I doubt you have Sonus there, so you'll probably have to look for a Menzerna distributor, but since Acrylic Shield isn't a german product, you'll have to find someplace that imports that particular product.

I tried Menzerna's High Gloss Acrylic Shield. You're right, it make a FANTASTIC complement to Klasse. Spray one, buff off. Seems to be thicker compared to SG, but seems 'harder' looking, and glossier.

If anyone's keen to try this, I'll bring my bottle along for the next meetup or meet you guys separately to show you what I mean. For $29 bucks (got mine from http://diygurus.com/catalog/product_info.p...&products_id=67 -- they have a 16% discount going until 30 Nov!), I think it makes more sense than getting a QD, esp when using acrylic-based systems ;)

Hey, thanks :)

I'm still very active in VAGSG even though I've sold off my Passat for a Jap ride. The folks there are a nice bunch, and are like family ;)

I'm getting damn hardcore about detailing these days. kena warning from my CFO already, especially since I've got a major shipment of stuff being freighted in. Only around 200 kg worth.

Yeah, no sxxt... hahahah

Hi,

Is it that when applying KSG need to apply thin film/coat? When i apply and buff off, it is shinning. Next day when to work, came back in the evening the bonnet only become hazy. Very strange but does not occur at other panel except the bonnet. Due to the HEAT?

Thanks

Chogokin,

So what you did for the bonnet after you found it hazy?

I'm using WOWO method to apply Klasse AIO & KSG and it never gave me any problem.

The only problem is too shiny [sunny]

Bro Chogokin,

After u AIO & SG once again and the same problem never surface again right. So, I guess

the first time you apply the KSG was not completely buff off.

I using WO WO method and it is very easy to apply Klasse.

This was what I did.: using a damp MF applicator

two drops (one cent size) for the bonnet.

four drops for whole roof top.

one drop for front left wheel arch + front door

one drop for left real wheel arch + back door

one drop for front right wheel arch + front door

one drop for right real wheel arch + back door

one drop for the real door.

So, I managed to finish the whole Rav4 with only used about 15-20ml of product.
