Maximum safety ("1001" airbags, crumple zone, etc), good handling (High double wishbone in front, multi-link in rear), so-so consumption and taxes (2.2L) - Alfa 159 or Maximum efficiency, 110PS per litre, good handling (High double wishbone in front, double wishbone in rear + Limited Slip Differential), good consumption, not so good safety (only 2 airbags) - Euro-R or Italian design flair, quirky character, loads of space, slush box - Fiat Croma or Maximum safety ("1001" airbags, crumple zone, etc) with not so good handling, slush box - Saab 93 or Flat 4, slush box, AWD, quite safe (strong structure + 4 airbags?) - LGT/Wagon or something in-between - Mazda 6 2.3L Cheers Cool_jazz Edited January 21, 2006 by Cool_jazz ↡ Advertisement Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Now Euro manufacturers r joining forces, esp German & Italians......soon names like VW, Opel, Audi, Saab, Alfa, Fiat, Skoda, Seat, Rover, etc are juz brand names as they all come from same factory or group sharing common platform, parts and even engines. Juz look at Nissan & Renault, and Mazda is now part of GM group....etc. In SG, why korean cars sell well here becuz all cars hv no re-sale value except paper & chassis value. Spas Neutral Newbie January 22, 2006 Share January 22, 2006 (edited) Don't know whether you've heard this but just to add on to Alfa 159's "maximum safety" thing, the 159 just got the prestigious 5-star EuroNcap rating. The Alfa's the choice. It's a no brainer. It's gorgeous, it's fast enough, it's safe, it's affordable and it's italian. A black or red one should look great. Is the 159 in the showrooms yet? Don't think so right? But before you get an Alfa, are you successful, good-looking and possess awesome bedroom skills? But it still lack that soul. The best you can say of the design is that its 'ok'. Can't say that for the other models tho. The others looked like they are still in the late 90s. Fiat is a bread and butter car in Italy and Europe like Nissan and likes in Asia. They focus on affordable quality to the mass.
