W210k 1st Gear February 6, 2006 Share February 6, 2006 (edited) Like the Honda EURO-R, one can still parallel-import the Focus ST into SG if he wants to. Edited February 6, 2006 by W210k
Vtim 3rd Gear February 6, 2006 Share February 6, 2006 MY people not familiar with LGT mah My Focus is really a SLEEPER cause it's so slow that my wife falls asleep along N/S HW
Cool_jazz Neutral Newbie February 6, 2006 Author Share February 6, 2006 PI the Focus ST? Not a good idea. There are quite a lot of Euro-R (CL7R), JDM Accord 2L (CL7A) and JDM Accord 2.4L (CL9A) running around in Singapore. So even if need parts, sure can find one. But parts for the ST..... Felipe 3rd Gear February 6, 2006 Share February 6, 2006 im not sure a euro r with all its quickness can have the same appeal as an alfa. that's how i always felt about jap cars. stale looking fast boxes. with an italian, u get a beautiful design, not nearly as quick but decent. overall, it just seems the better package. think abt it...how many euro rs and even evos turn heads? i once walk past marriot hotel and there was a red GT parked. passerbys just kept looking at it...i cant say the same when an evo is parked there. Jts156 Neutral Newbie February 6, 2006 Share February 6, 2006 it really depends on what one wants from a car.. different cars for different folks. Honda=great technology, engines and mod potential Evo/WRX=road rocket that makes the average driver look like Makkinen/Solberg Alfa=looks great, drives great, makes you love it, sometimes heart pain too! Saab=someone who's quirky BMW=same as Honda only in a more upmarket way

Yes, I love Italians, especially Alfa Romeo. But I cannot bring myself to buy another 156 because it will be a betrayal to my beloved ex-Italian Mistress. Don't like hatch so if I want another Alfa, it will have to be the 159. Almost bought a black GT with red leather seats when it was first launched.... but that is another story
Vtim 3rd Gear February 7, 2006 Share February 7, 2006 sleeper-car u mean......esp when HRF. no lah, the car will cause my wife to sleep lah, my car totally under powered can only max out around 180++ only overtaking is no longer a piece of cake

Saab=someone who's quirky BMW=same as Honda only in a more upmarket way To add to you list.... Honda = the best inline-4 money can buy and I see it as the Alfa of Japan. Alfa = Style and for people who dares to be different. Sweetest wounding inline-4 money can buy. (Sort of an Italian Honda) Saab = For people who wants turbo but the conti way. BMW = Great inline-6, handling and RWD. Edited February 7, 2006 by Cool_jazz
En0203 2nd Gear February 7, 2006 Share February 7, 2006 tough choice between the Euro-R and the 159 how about a RX-8? 9k rpm redline with comfort and yet good handling suspension set up
Beanoyip Turbocharged February 7, 2006 Share February 7, 2006 The RX8 is fun to drive, but the setup for the car makes it so hard. Esp going over bumps and humps..like sitting in 3tonner..
Cool_jazz Neutral Newbie February 7, 2006 Author Share February 7, 2006 RX-8 got no low end torque.... Euro-R has about 80% of max torque from 3000 rpm. Redline also at 9000 rpm
Genie47 1st Gear February 7, 2006 Share February 7, 2006 (edited) SAAB is slowly being b-a-stardized by GM. The older ones are cool with the nice retro factor. Can't say for the future of SAAB. They even got Subarus rebadged as SAABs. Thank goodness the destruction has stopped with the selling of Subaru to Toyota. Well, I'll be damned! They even tried to b-a-stardize Alfa with the Brera.
