Changing color on dashboard

i did try on sticker before...but the curve-edge cannot be done up nicely at all....wasted a few hours.....haiz..

that is why i thought of spraying, becos i used to spray my bicycle when i was teenage time.....

yup...i knew abt it....and intend to spray pearl white color...haha....so stupid idea i have...

but by the way, any pearl white that is matte? probably matte wont cause reflection on the windscreen....

Yes it can be done. I've done it on my previous car before, sprayed all the panels matt silver. You have to remove all the panels you want to spray, clean and sand them down lightly. Apply multiple thin layers instead of one thick layer, and let it bake in the sun till its completely dry before re-installing them on your dash.

 

I didn't encounter any problem of peeling or cracking at all, only minor scratches here and there. They were still in good condition when i scrapped the car recently. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures...

Oh btw, if you want to achieve a matt finish, just lightly mist your final coat of paint over the surfaces, it will dry with a slightly rough texture and it will give you the matt look effect.

You have to wait for a while. Cause taking out dashboard is a big project. I intend to start with the center area where the gears and handbrake is first. Then slowly work my way up. Anyway, going to use high-temp black. It is matte black in nature and don't flake off easily.
