For Optra Estate Luvers

Ya chevro, think the actual weight of the car shld be 1230kg. I kinda suspect perhaps there could be a typo error in the brochures. Comparing a maunal and auto gear box, I would think that the auto shld weigh more due to additional mechanism. So even if the new auto estate indeed weigh less, the weight reduction might have come from other parts (due to different material?).

[reply]Think I have posted before that the gross weight of auto estate (thailand) is around 1600kg compared to manual (Korean) Estate of 1660kg. Not sure of the manual gear box, but auto is using SS6 which is different from optra's SS3. Hence maybe that's why its lighter.

But i would say now the auto Estate are load with features,,, very good buy...thumbsup.gif

Thanks for point out. Just curious if scali got typo error? [sly]

yo man. pai sei, this week in philipine until sat. boring. dun even have time to go hanky panky. so can't arrange a meetup. Maybe following friday. from the site, there is about 8 active personnels, since most are from west, maybe science center or the omni max carpark will be nice. Just hope the authority dun come chasing us out of the carpark. I wonder if the auto version has the pulupulu sound when moving off like the manual one.

Thx for more pictures. Seen those before. GM can now tap the "economies of scale" factor since sedan and estate can share parts from same factory. I think thats why the current estate change to the more sedan look on certain parts like door panel and handles.

Btw there is another new chevy dealer in the market now - Alpine Motors. Looks like expansion plans in the local mkt is on the way....

AS for meetup opportunity when u return, i am open to chevro's suggestion. If can give some advance notice, i jus try to follow majority's convenience. [:)]

have a nice trip back.

forget to add, wat is pulupulu sound??? dun seem to detect this lei???

Ya, also wondering what pulupulu you talking about.

Hope to have a meet. See what changes you guys have gone thru.

If 8 cars only then any place should not be a problem.

Maybe after meet can go hanky panky. [nod]

Sorry guys, would like to go but tonite got dinner lei.

See how's response, I am ok with this weekend late morning or noon though. [;)]

Alphine Motors is not PI, its the 2nd authorised chevy agent for GM, jus like SA. From what i read, it seems usual for GM to have more than 1 agent per country and especially so if they embarking on aggressive sales target (this sort of help to promote internal competition). A positive step for us as it means more commitment to local market (likely more chevy models and poisonous parts to offer soon too).

Looking forward to hearing your estate's unique pulupulu hahaha....
