User12343 Clutched April 22, 2002 Share April 22, 2002 hi brudders, typically if the tires are designed by the manufacturer to be inflated with XX PSI, what is the max PSI in excess of XX that can be pumped in w/o bursting? is there any guideline that one cannot exceed by, say 5% of the inflation pressure? cos always chua chua when it comes to topping up the air even wif preset pressures. thanks ↡ Advertisement
Pauly75ts Neutral Newbie April 22, 2002 Share April 22, 2002 Hi! there, User12343, At the side wall of the tyre, it's stated the max. load, max. pressure, for the tyre, if there isn't, then the tyre is not meant for the road. Rgds Paul Yong
Michel Neutral Newbie May 20, 2002 Share May 20, 2002 Hi fellow drivers.. if the stickers on the car indicates the cold tire pressure to be 21 kgf/cm2, does it also means 21psi? If so, what would be the pressure be in Kpa?? Thanks... cheers..
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie May 20, 2002 Share May 20, 2002 U sure it's 21kgf/cm2? That's only 4.3psi!

Turbobrick Neutral Newbie May 20, 2002 Share May 20, 2002 Go ahead and load 30psi into your tires based on the digi-pump reading....should get close enough. Best if U could invest in a Stetho Gauge to confirm your tire pressures after pumping. Remeber to pump when the tires are cold (at least try to get to the nearest petrol kiosk from your home in the morning)

Pauly75ts Neutral Newbie May 24, 2002 Share May 24, 2002 Hi! there, Michel, Usually, I'd pump my tyres the night before to stated 36psi, then in the morning, check the tyre press., set it to 32psi. Invest in a good tyre press. gauge, like doc, I use the Bluepoint gauge which has a bleed button, very convenient, bleed till the press. is reached. I think I'd use 34psi after I monitor my tyres, as one of them seems to have a tiny leak. Rgds Paul Yong

[/reply] Think what u feel should be that your steering is lighter.... as for bumpy-ness.. that'll depend on what road u travelling on and your tyres.... think your turning would become more responsive too..... ↡ Advertisement
