I viewed the soldered pins that connects to the wire harness linking to the ECU and found some pins with cracked soldering points. (Tip from the BB).

Check out the cracked pic view under a microscope [;)]

I'll try to resolder the pins and try the module on overboost's brick [cool]

I think HEAT may have caused this. The "on-off" affair can be due to expansion/contraction as "850R wagon" pointed out on Sat.

Gavin, most connectors/pins/etc can be found at Sim Lim Sq. If you have a sample, pass to me and I'll go find it.

Rgds

I'll resolder them as the circuit board cannot be remove without damaging the transmittors for the ABS pulse. So I won't risk removing the board to replace the entire pin. I also noticed that the soldering lead used for the circuit is freaking soft like soap.

I'll resolder every single pin just in case. Have to remove the "jelly" layer first.

Neutral Newbie

Sounds reasonable re the contacts being broken when hot.The engine compartment is bloody hot for hours.Like I noticed before takes a 6 hrs or overnight cool down for ABS to work temporarily.

?modify with 12V CPU cooling fan or heat insulation.

I need Ur help to reinsulate the now bare wires ( the insulation has mysteriously disintegrated) to the controller .The B's at our only dealership didnt do a thing abt it.

aiya thats simple mike! Its call dry joint. Try not to solder the board with gun exceeding 25W else will damage the SMT components. [:)]

You got problem soldering the ABS ctrl box let me know. I got ultra fine soldering tools meant to repair SMT boards and handphone circuit boards.
