Different rims suit different cars, very personal. MPV, SUV, Saloon? You looking for branded ones or no name ones? Big names like Rays, Work, etc can be pretty ex for 16". Taiwan ones almost as good for half or a third the price. Tyres? That's another thing altogether...Check with pxx xxxg at AMK, good price and good service. Bros here can vouch for them.

Bro,

Changing rims & tyres is up to your preferences (type of car, cost effectiveness, performance????)......just to share some experiences....

My tyre was found to be bloated just after 5 months of usage....somemore using reputated brand.bigcry.gif

Cause of defect: Tyre was found manufactured 5 years ago!!!Bought the tyres during Year End Mega Sale from ......shakehead.gif

Hence, my advice, check the date of manufacturing before fixing onto your rim.....sunny.gif

Regards

Mines gona be Accord JDM if no change [:p] budget around 1k plus. Heard not advisable to get those more than 10kg. And get above average taiwan brands. If not, get average Japan/Euro brands. That true? [blush]

1K only can get Taiwan rims and tyres. I think your Accord deserve something exotic leh....Now let's see 18" rims, chrome ones would be nice if your ride is a dark colour... hehe hehe

if u are into comfort, then try not to go above 16" and if performance and looks, 17' above is the way ... better handling but lose out on comfort.

Tire, I believe there are enough threads to make you go bonkers ... some bros are die-hard F1-GSD (and some camps split between Thai and Germany made), while others opt for Hankook and BS.

I think for comfort at 16", GR-80 is one of the perenial favourite.

Wah 18"!! That's gona increase my FC like siao not to mention the price. [:p] What are the above avg taiwan brands and average Jap/Euro brand u recommend? [confused]

I think with 18" you are riding on 50 series tyres? Ride may not be too harsh. If you are driving a 2.0 litre and above, FC is not an issue.

Hi Robertoon,

No comments on the V8RS as I have not tried them though I heard some good reviews. I am on K104 18" .. I find them good value for money although a little hard ride but perhaps that helps in the handling.

No prob in the wet too ...
