Why recent korean cars look almost the same nowadays... IMO, feel that this Elantra looks like the new verna and the new rio.

Haha yes u have a point...they all look quite similar...after all, thats wat u'll get when all the koreans cars are from the same company. [laugh]

Swee ! Swee ! Swee !

And I believe the price will be Swee as well, given it is a Korean car.

Ha ! Ha ! BM and KM have to watch out.

Swee....!!! Agreed with TPLOH that the price will also be swee. I don't mind made in Korean if the price and quality comparable with Toyota and Honda made in Thailand....hopefully priced between 55k-60k with ABS, airbag, EBD and freebies like sports rims, leather seat, reverse sensor, v-cool film, remote control/lock, etc.... 1. When the concept Cerato was launched, it attracted alot of attention. The Korean spent millions to get this car into production and the turnout seem like so so.

2. It doesn't have the killer look nor the X factor.

1. I will not be surprised that it comes with one driver airbag, no EBD and pretty stock condition. Your wish list can be realised by topping up thousands.

2. Their 1.6L cars interior still can't match my ES5. By the way, the interior of Vios look very basic, something the Korean can be very close at.

Think the interior for Korean made have be better than Vios if you see them yourself except for Picanto and Getz. You are paying at least 10k or more for the equivalent to get all accessories, but it voices down to your needs.

I actually took it from ebay because not many had seen this car before so I want to take it as an example. Is that really your friend's car?

Regards,

Think the Singapore XD already had EDB, at least I had it in my previous Elantra. The difference when I acquire the Elantra and a similar, say a JDM at the market then, was the single airbag. It had all round disc brakes etc. Drive was much better than a very popular JDM I drove recently, fuel consumption I felt was over exaggerated for the JDM too. Built wise, all as crappy as each other. Realibility, JDM wins. Price difference, 4K if I rememebered correctly.

So, if Komoco thinks bigger, then at least have a car that is on par with the market. They already not marketing the existing Elantra, might as well get one out with all the whistle and bells. You can't always play by the 'volume' strategy. But knowing them, never!
