Canceria 1st Gear April 18, 2006 Share April 18, 2006 It's true that some KM's SA cannot be trusted. My neighbour just got the new 1.8L Civic recently. His new ride is having the problem of swerving to the right when travelling in straight road. He told the SA about it. SA told him "It's a new safety feature by Honda"... My neighbour also don't know wat to do.
Nutty 4th Gear April 18, 2006 Share April 18, 2006 Man oh man... this is so lame. Maybe next time someone's ride that leaks engine oil, the SA will explain. "This is working as design. Engine oil must leak out and replenish weekly to ensure the engine is well lubricated. Coz those oil that leaked out are dirty oil. I suggest you buy from us 5 4L bottles of Shell Helix Ultra and keep in your storeroom to do your weekly refill. That will be $445/-. Thanks you very much." Elfenstar 3rd Gear April 18, 2006 Share April 18, 2006 mmm... yes of course... swerving into the faster moving lane is a safety feature
Weihui Clutched April 18, 2006 Share April 18, 2006 (edited) Admire the fact that KM allows own oil... CnC DOES NOT allow own oil... and have to buy their Shell Helix Ultra at retail price By the way, my RALLIART oil filter costs SGD 45 Edited April 18, 2006 by Weihui
Odyssey02 Clutched April 18, 2006 Share April 18, 2006 lmao. i think i would have used my finger and poked the SA's head to wake him up.
Genie47 1st Gear April 18, 2006 Share April 18, 2006 (edited) Synthetic material is better in many users' opinion. Paper doesn't have much of a capacity to hold much. A blend is nice. Lots of options for the manufacturer. Purolators are damn good. Too bad we don't get them here. Edited April 18, 2006 by Genie47
Genie47 1st Gear April 18, 2006 Share April 18, 2006 Sports filter might not be the best solution for everyday driving. I've been always harping on this for us regular grocery getter car owners. Anything they say approved by race teams or something, must look beyond the marketing.
Elfenstar 3rd Gear April 18, 2006 Share April 18, 2006 (edited) Any idea if the Mahles are identicle to the purolators (pure oil later), as they're the same for commercial machinery oil filters. Anyway since i've got the oil guru's on the purolators, i'm sticking to them Edit: I am tempted to give the K&N filters a go as they have a 1" nut at the top for easy removal and since i diy oil changes, it would make it easier as my filter is in an awkward position. Any idea if they're any good? Edited April 18, 2006 by Elfenstar
Elfenstar 3rd Gear April 18, 2006 Share April 18, 2006 Abt right lah... the TRD and Nismo filters are abt AUD$30-$
Genie47 1st Gear April 18, 2006 Share April 18, 2006 They are different. See this comprehensive list of who makes who. The Japanese side is a bit of a mystery but the same industry practises most likely occur over there as well. If Denso so needs lots ASAP, they might enlist Tokyo Roki's or Nippon Micro's help. Elfenstar 3rd Gear April 18, 2006 Share April 18, 2006 how good are the champion lab valvolines as those filters are some of teh cheapest and most readily availible ones here on melb. I have to wait 2 days to a week for my purolators depending if they're in stock at the warehouse.

Weihui Clutched April 18, 2006 Share April 18, 2006 I got the RALLIART filter because it was designed for turbo-charged Mitsubishi... It has this unique extra layer of metal filter that wraps around the paper filter to prevent those "melted" paper debris from entering into engine. If I use normal Mitsubishi paper oil filter, CnC charges SGD 20.. So I got the RALLIART instead. ↡ Advertisement
