Most car accessory shop have reverse sensors that tap directly to your reverse lights. Very easily installed and you might even consider DIY when you get it or you can ask them to do it for you.

You may want to consider getting this type...

i got one fitted into my van, and of course there are alot of my frens and relatives using this one too....

very accurate and almost never fail.....

:D :D :D

it comes with 2 sensors for the rear and a display unit to tell you distance and also comes out sound....

the display shows 2 LED lights which will blink (left side and right side) so you got to see where the LED lights blink...

when it is blinking on the left, the LED on the left will blink and on the right, it blinks on the right... if centre, it will blink left and right....

and also distance shows in Meters...

it looks like this....

do you have reverse sensor that produce music sound rather than beep..beep...beep...

saw 1 civic at marina south when he reversed his car, I heard music jingle bell.. jingle bell.. jingle all the way (very unique)

Yeah, I could hear a City reversing 3 rows of cars away at Holland V carpark. Wonder if it's to alert the driver or the passer-bys?

Anyway if you don't wish to spoil the look of your bumper, you can get Bumpercare reverse sensor. It's a strip installed inside the bumper, no unsightly buttons!

There shd be a volume control in term of lo, mid and hi on the speaker.

Not sure if it's applicable to yours but I had it. Can off it also [:)] but then, what is the use of RS if you off it. [laugh]

you can put whatever you want for certain model if I'm not wrong.

But then, what for leh? unless u want everyone near your car to know u are reversing. [laugh]

Then stick some tape over the speaker. Adjust what how soft/loud you want by the area u cover. Shd lower the volume by a bit.

But use good quality tape, esp when your speaker is exposed to heat. U wouldn't want it to be sticky.. [:)]
