mx-5 is a FR car, not a MR car which is difficult to drive. It was designed

to handle well even for the rookie drivers. i have driven one, and i know that

it is very simple to handle well. The Ah Beng who cause the accident of late, may be looking at elsewhere while driving, or trying very hard to impress the salesgirl.

Shouldn't be carbon fibre lah...it just makes it more expensive...i think more like aluminium....But aluminium cost also not on the low side...

After this accident, insurance of rag tops and other forms of convertibles were affected.

And not forgetting a rip off if the auto mechanism spoils. My Del Sol Auto roof cost me $2200 to have it fixed, coz 1 of the little gears got stuck. WTF!

That's one of the niggles of owning a convertible. Still got leaky roofs, worn seals and scuttle shakes.

 

But once the roof is down when you drive, shiok...

the engineer at mazda has added only 37kg for the hardtop while it's only 10mm taller than the softtop and it does not infringe uopn the boot space at all.
