Current Wira uses Siemens ECU as compared to Wira of 10 yrs ago.

1.5 version also has more sporty 3 3 spoke steering wheel and sports panel and sports instrument dial.

12V SOHC engine remains the same

Personally I won't because the style is quite dated. Grandchildren will probably buy the same new model with the same old look as their grandparents'.

Some Malaysians feel that when they had the star and cresent logo, sales was much better. But since they changed to the 'tiger skull', it drove all the Proton 'luck' away.

yeah some more this car is a replica of the 10 yr old Mitsu Lancer...can u imagine how old is this car [shakehead]

Agt is not bringing in auto version of Wira 1.5 auto, as it comes in 3 speed auto.

1.3 is avail only in manual.

Most people in Malaysia would not buy it if they are given the choice. With the recent launch of Myvi, the sales for proton has been badly hit. Even sales for Satria Neo is poor. Basically no wait time compare to months for cars like innova, myvi, avanza.

I used to own a wira 1.5A. My major complaint is the "water tank" in the boot after some time.

You might be aspired to own a car in Singapore....but over in Malaysia, we envy all the CBU selections in Singapore.

yup.. IMO gen 2 looks nice, styled like a coupe, it will look nicer if it is orange in colour with bodykit and high spoiler [thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup]

Wira 1.5 auto is avail only in 3 speed auto, that's why Proton Singapore decuded to give the auto version a miss.

In my opinion, this car is very good value for money. It's selling for 35 to 36k only. Slightly more expensive compared to the Picanto but it's much bigger.

Agree that it's the most metal for the least money. But as far as Singaporeans go, it seems to be a no-no. Just passed by Jln Ahmad Ibrahim the other day, the sea of Protons lying in the field (for what I don't know, waiting to rust?) is scary... [sweatdrop]
