I m thinking of install Hurriance, anyone got any advise for me.

 

Where would be a best place to install it?

honestly i wouldnt touch any stainless steel rock filter with a 10ft pole. if pods there are other options that have better filtration with similar flow. if drop in then stick to stock, you're not going to see any difference.

u may want to consider simota stainless steel type. much much cheaper. drop in type ave abt 60-70

I'll advise against Hurricane. If you take a close look at the manufacture of the filter, you'll notice that the rubber seals aren't exactly well made, and I believe that it's not a very good quality of synthetic rubber even. Note too that it is not a complete piece, and this may pose a problem if you cannot get the seal that you need in your air intake.

I've used a few types of aftermarket filters before, and I have this to say about the Hurricane:

 

On the plus side, you'll be getting quite a fair bit of power over the stock paper filter, simply due to the freer flowing nature of the filter.

 

Your first tank of petrol on the Stainless Steel filter will probably yield excellent fuel consumption too.

 

Here comes the spoiler.

 

Since some have already rightly mentioned that Stainless Steel filters are essentially rock filters, they will let in smaller particles of dust and perhaps sand.

 

Short term effect of that is that your fuel consumption will suffer, since it fouls up your oil. In the long term, I suppose it may cause some scouring to the internals of the engine, but I can't be sure of that.

 

I'll personally go for the piece of mind of better filtration, since I drive around a lot in dustier areas.

 

Just my two cents worth.

Bro, i would recommend you to get Simota Stainless Steel Filter instead of Hurricane cos of the price difference Material wise, i see no difference between the 2 (Maybe i'm wrong) but do take note that filtration of stainless steel filters are not as good as oil based filters hence you might need to change your engine oil more regularly instead of sticking to the usual 10K OCI Jus my opinion
