Freeman 1st Gear September 15, 2006 Share September 15, 2006 For those on knn filter, do you stick to the knn cleaner strictly? Has anybody tried using other soap solution (eg mama lemon?). Will it really do any harm? ↡ Advertisement

Gubby Neutral Newbie September 19, 2006 Share September 19, 2006 What are the steps to clean the KNN Filter? Is there an instruction manual when we purchase the cleaning kit?
Coaxialcable Neutral Newbie September 19, 2006 Share September 19, 2006 (edited) In Stamford tyres, There's a display experiment where you can try to inter-change between the KNN filter and our stock paper filter. It shows that the air flow is much better with the KNN filter. Personally, I can feel that bit of differences..... There's also other after market air filters like hurrican and simonta. Hurrican air filters are much easier to maintain....you can wash with water, blow dry with compressed air...etc, unlike KNN where you cannot use compress air, must use their washing solution and air, else it will damage the filter. Hope it helps Edited September 19, 2006 by Coaxialcable
Robin 4th Gear September 19, 2006 Share September 19, 2006 yup... there are insturctions in the kit. but its quite standard mah... rise with water, soak use the cleaning solution, rise again, leave to dry
Mzrmazda3 6th Gear September 22, 2006 Share September 22, 2006 Bro, for me the gain is very slight but you could feel that your car is slightly more willing to rev The change to K&N is because it could last a lifetime as compared to stock paper filters and hence saved the trouble to change it
Mzrmazda3 6th Gear September 22, 2006 Share September 22, 2006 Bro, you still short of 1 step After dry must re-oil it
