Ohh ....

Wah hardcore. [laugh]

There was once I was waiting for my car while doing ECU tune. Had a look at the Pfitner gearboxes brochure.

Approached my tuner to collect my car and enquired the "Retail" on the Pfitner gearbox.

He said prices start at $15,000 and above. Servicing required every 5000km by specialised mechanic in Pfitner gearboxes.

I thank him for his service and quickly left. [laugh]

Those gearboxes are hardcore. The whining noise can blow your ear drums at high rpms. [sweatdrop]

What do you expect when a half decent manual dogbox already costs around $6k. The decent ones are around double that at min.... [sweatdrop]

Btw bro are you still in perth??? you could try contacting PPG for their gearsets for about $2.5kish. Those are good too.

What do you guys think ?

Manual WRX 2.5L, Auto WRX 2L and more expensive.

Is there any reason for anyone to buy an Auto Rex ? Just cos of convenience ?

But it seems the 2L have more bhp then manual.

Any comments ?

bro, hv u gone for a test drive? believe me, a test drive will put in in a better perspective. for me, i test driven it, i like the feel, did my sums, n i bought it. simple as that. [laugh] to me, i never believe in stereotyping any make/model of any ride w a particular tranny. i oni believe that if the OEM, which in this case is FHI, can come up w a auto tranny wrx, i'm sure they must hv done their r & d b4 releasing to the consumers.... if u want a sedan, can get the VW Jetta TFSI which is the booted version of the Golf GTI

The turbo Jetta is way too expensive compared to the auto WRX.

Anyway, I wanted to test drive it several times but VW always do not have the car with them. So in the end never get to try it out.
