hi to all the copen owner here, i'm into getting a copen soon but would like to check something before buying.

may i know how was the fuel consumption like roughly ?

how much does the maintenance or servicing cost ?

Fuel consumption varies. There are some that get 17km/l, and some gets only 8-9km/l. Depending on driver, the consumption difference is huge. Being a high-rev engine cruising on highway with speed 90km/h will consume quite a bit of petrol, as rpm should be roughly at 3000rpm odd.

Servicing every 5,000km or earlier and oil filter to be changed every servicing.

by hitting 17km/l is without using of aircon + driving 50km/h in order not to hit 2k rpm??

Not sure how they drive. But changing gear at 2.5k rpm (for manual) was mentioned to me before. If you drive normally with occasional spirited driving, I think you can hit around 12km/l-15km/l. Are you getting the manual one or the auto one?

hmm i getting the auto one

Auto Copen cruise on lower rpm than manual on the highway, which I think will give better fuel economy on the highway. Enjoy your Copen! It's a fun drive! Like the "driver in the centre" of the car concept that Copen has.

Been thinking of a copen also.

1) are parts really tough to get as it is only available from PI? Are parts expensive?

2) anyone got problem with the hardtop roof? Just wondering how long the mechanism can last?

Thxs.

Regards

1) Parts can order from STS, not a problem. Yes parts are expensive, since Copen is a hand production model.

2) Our hydraulic roofs are very sturdy. I have a friend driving an '02 Copen, this year COE ending. No problem with roof whatsoever. And it's even better to actually open your roof at least once per day.

Neutral Newbie

Hi ppl,

I'm planning to get a copen soon, but i will like to know where to find bodykits for the copen?

And also, is there any reliable workshops which specialized in servicing the copen? Thanks in advance! [;)]

Hi,

Just wanted to know if anyone knows of this white Copen, with yellow stripes and a big wing on its rear?

Encountered it on the highway once, got blown away by it. Went way too fast for me to see its plate....
