chamosis: fold into 1/2 fold, then drag across the surface by pulling both ends, in single direction

water magnet: fold the piece into 1/4 fold, then use to wipe across the surface, in single direction

Try this method, spread out the whole cloth, drag across the suface by pulling both ends..

flip over, repeat the steps on the other surface. This is how a water magnet works.
