Tinyflower Neutral Newbie November 20, 2006 Share November 20, 2006 Opinions anyone? From >> http://motoring.asiaone.com.sg/drivers/20050224_001.html Warning signs may also be put up on the roads to alert motorists ahead of speed traps. - Got anot ah? In addition, officers will wear white uniforms during the day and don vests with yellow reflectors at night, to make them more visible on the roads. - got time to see? Speeding kills - AGREE.. but if the roads that are prone to speeding should already be fixed with warning signs.. not mobile ppl in white hiding in bushes. Eg.. from >> http://www.dft.gov.uk/stellent/groups/dft_...ety_025918.hcsp Standard guidelines.. Just helping a pissed friend ask after being fined yet again for a speeding at 80km/hr. ↡ Advertisement
Nhrisuzu 1st Gear November 20, 2006 Share November 20, 2006 i know i say this something might happen to me.. but then, i still must say.. "it is ur duty to drive within the speed limit, want to speed, then u got a price to pay.."
Terenc3 1st Gear November 20, 2006 Share November 20, 2006 Most of the time they do have enough sign boards and warning to tell you.. They are really visible.. They are like, 'I'm Here, DUN SPEED. If you do, I've given Warning'.. Well, not to shoot down people or what, if you still get caught by TP for speeding, you cannot blame anyone but... Yourself.. =)
Zhihao 1st Gear November 20, 2006 Share November 20, 2006 ...agree...actually like wat they say in army, warning u i a "privilege" not "entitlement"...
Zoom99 Neutral Newbie November 20, 2006 Share November 20, 2006 Last Sat spotted one on an overhead bridge nearby S'pore Expo. I dun see any warning sign.
Tony76 1st Gear November 20, 2006 Share November 20, 2006 Bro, they MAY put only.=) oso i hate the constant variations in speed limits on expressways...sometime 90kph...then suddenly 80kph..then somtime drop to 70kph.think these r the place they like to catch pple speeding. Nhrisuzu 1st Gear November 20, 2006 Share November 20, 2006 if everything need warning sign.. then if there are 500 TP on this island.. we need 500 warning sign?? they give abit of warning sign already not bad le.. by saying "may".. already give chance liao.. they can choose not to pose online on where they "may" be.. that one when kena, everyone sure KPKB.. Jusnel 6th Gear November 20, 2006 Share November 20, 2006 its the driver's responsibility to know that he's going over the limit. the only warning he should get is to look at his speedometer regularly! yr friend is pissed coz he went to 80km/hr? i guessing the road he was caught is only 50-60km/hr? well, he deserves it! he cant tell the difference between 60km/hr and 80km/hr? he cant read his speedometer? or he knows he was speeding and doesnt give a f*ck abt it? and now kena caught, he KPKB? what kind of logic is this? Tinyflower Neutral Newbie November 20, 2006 Author Share November 20, 2006 True... but on certain roads.. esp those stated in Asiaone's web, known to be long stretches and not busy roads. Known to be prone be driven a little 'faster', almost like a express way. Why not just put a warning sign to remind ppl to go at 70km. And if still speed than u pay the price. Not be in white n spook ppl lo. Allow ppl time to slow down and be reminded. But i hardly go ard there... ARE there warning signs?
Tony76 1st Gear November 20, 2006 Share November 20, 2006 bro sometimes keep looking at speedometer can oso be dangerous.
Terenc3 1st Gear November 20, 2006 Share November 20, 2006 Most of the overhead bridges snipers can be seen from quite far.. Wanna speed? Be more vigilant.. When I speed I use more brain cells, cuz i look and see everywhere.. So tiring until I hardly speed..
Teckheng Neutral Newbie November 20, 2006 Share November 20, 2006 everytime i go expressway, i see warning, SPEED CAM, TP in OPS, DRIVE WITHIN SPEED LIMIT. last night saw this QX, drive with care, stay alive.

Tinyflower Neutral Newbie November 20, 2006 Author Share November 20, 2006 someone told me b4 in a democratic country ... u got to warn ppl and tell ppl.. not very sure about this.. any politicians here? Or lawyers? like when u catch bad guy n b4 u cuff them.. u got to read them their rights.. if u dun.. u catch him they can sue u.. something like tat. think that rd was 70km/hr.. maybe happen to press abit more.. could have eased off abit.. but the thing here is.. are the warnings fair? posting in websites the updates.. enuf? not everyone has access to a web (ya.. even in these days) 24/7. friend paid the fine of cos n not making any noise.. only felt the warnings are lacking to "remind". Tony76 1st Gear November 20, 2006 Share November 20, 2006 SG is a DEMOCRATIC country. Arrest always comes with statement on why u r arrested unless it is a super clear case of a seizable offence.=) SG going to wire up whole country liao so all must buy laptops..no excuse no internet connection.hahaha
Tinyflower Neutral Newbie November 20, 2006 Author Share November 20, 2006 Innocent unless proven guilty right?? hahaha... i heard to look at the pic the police caught u speeding must pay $200+++??? pay fine easier.. anyone asked to look at their pic b4? btw.. not 100% island wide got internet coverage in SG.. got a post in mcf on it. But laptop not cheap aso le.. + would anyone keep looking at all the roads where there would be potential speed cameras (or "traps" as they call it.. why traps? irony) - use a reasonable man thinking. Felipe 3rd Gear November 20, 2006 Share November 20, 2006 i like to alter it by saying....speeding doesn't kill, but speeding at the wrong place is likely to kill u. ↡ Advertisement
