Ecaf Neutral Newbie January 12, 2007 Share January 12, 2007 i also once hit a bird. it was merrily standing in the middle of the lane. i slowed down a bit, honked a bit, still never move. when i was about to go over it, it flew!! damn bird got stuck just above my front grille and i could see the poor bird fluttering in front of me - imagine the horror! so i slowed down to a bus stop, went in front but the bird was no longer there. must have dropped to the road when i slowed down.. Fondue Neutral Newbie January 12, 2007 Share January 12, 2007 I've encountered plastic too, but its those packing plastic sheet that I went over at the carpark, and the whole lot go stuck to my exhaust, which is piping hit at that time. I could only remove 90% of the plastic cos bits n pieces melted onto the hot exhaust. After that incident, I get burnt plastic smell after every trip for almost 2 months. Dumb 4th Gear January 13, 2007 Share January 13, 2007 i would have slow down to give the bird enough time to fly away and also try to avoid it instead of still travelling straight. Last month I was driving in Australia. A couple of birds was on the opposite side of the road on the verge of trying to cross the road. The car in front of me slowed down and even stopped as the birds moved in a single file to our side of the road. That was a memorable sight. Like we're stopping at a children crossing. Civic155 Neutral Newbie January 13, 2007 Share January 13, 2007 Dear MCF Brothers & Sisters, Check your car after you have driven through/ over Object/ Thing on road. This is what happen, about 2 days ago when i was driving & noticed a Bird was in the middle of my lane, as usual i will just go straight. After that i'll glace through my rear view mirror make sure i did not hit it, there isn't anything so i have a quick glace my surrounding & NO sign of that Birdie. After that i've forgotten about it. This morning after i dropped my wife to work, parked my car & walk out. I was CHOKED by these awful smell & deep inside me didn't feel right. I open the bonnet: Wow MAN that SMELL, next i found this bird stuck on my radiator. So Sickening! Tried using water to flush it out but can't be done finally, use a plastic bag & took it with my hand.... Feel very very SICK cos it still quite soft...... So Remember Bro, You drive faster than birdie.... hehehe .... Just joking. Hope everything is ok... ↡ Advertisement
