Renegade Neutral Newbie February 12, 2007 Author Share February 12, 2007 (edited) Even Toyota is trying to add "conti feel" in their design to infiltrate the European Market.http://www.businessweek.com/innovate/conte...signer+dialogue They actually NEED to set something up to determine what "conti feel" is? As for the small car-conti feel part, not too sure about that, man. I was tailing this beetle-green Toyota bB today and it sure didn't give much of a conti impression.... Renegade Neutral Newbie February 12, 2007 Author Share February 12, 2007 Like I said - no diff. Either way will get run off so....
Magfocus 5th Gear February 12, 2007 Share February 12, 2007 I don't think throttle response is any slower on Conti cars. They feel about similar. Depending on the car also of course.
Renegade Neutral Newbie February 12, 2007 Author Share February 12, 2007 Speaking of "depending on the car", I wonder how "conti" would the Agyo-based Pugs or Outlander-based 4007 be....
Magfocus 5th Gear February 12, 2007 Share February 12, 2007 Like i said, 'conti-feel' is so subjective and intangible. Hard to verbalise or quantify..
Binxuan 1st Gear February 26, 2007 Share February 26, 2007 http://www.euroncap.com/content/safety_rat...ings.php?id1=10 Very few Jap cars managed to score beyond 4 stars for this standardised safety test which has been extensively done on most models of cars on the road.. But then, this test being a Euro based one means that there is a big bias towards conti cars..
Furrynadz 5th Gear February 26, 2007 Share February 26, 2007 so a euro based safety test is biased towards conti cars i think u better go explore more into wat is safety rather than just have airbags and hard metal
Binxuan 1st Gear February 26, 2007 Share February 26, 2007 (edited) i am merely suggesting that a possible bias may be there.. haha maybe u would like to enlighten me? Edited February 26, 2007 by Binxuan
Furrynadz 5th Gear February 26, 2007 Share February 26, 2007 (edited) wat possible bias is there 2 cars smash into the same object 2 cars get smashed side on by the same object u dun get a conti car smashed by a japan sushi roll while the japan car gets smashed by a demolishing machine if there is any bias, u think cars like cherry qq go for ncap for fun and let the whole world see a zero ncap score? a dummy costs $100,000++ , u think it costs $1.50 sushi roll? if its indeed biased then why do all car makers submit their vehicles for testing http://www.toyota-europe.com/innovation/te...v_ncap_2004.asp take a look at the eu toyota models look at their scores compared to the tomyam models the difference is in the equipment spec level for the particular market obviously lives in land of smiles are cheap, or hyundai singapore decides u can get by with zero airbag and survive a head on Edited February 26, 2007 by Furrynadz ↡ Advertisement
