Jansonchua 2nd Gear June 1, 2013 Share June 1, 2013 The car seems to be functioning well but the WS I brought my car to said there are a lot of things that need to be changed. Not sure if their way of rectifying is just to change whatever that looks old! But 2k plus for repairing is really shocking! The car has only travelled around 86k km, surely it can't be that bad! Still has 4 yrs to go. ↡ Advertisement

Jansonchua 2nd Gear June 1, 2013 Share June 1, 2013 Thank you swish! Thought I saw that Ric name quite well recommended. Will try to call him. Please provide me details as to where I can get the contact number. By the way, anyone has experience of going to the other side of the causeway for changing of parts? Kindly share. I am thinking of buying parts from stockists here and bring it over to Johore WS to change. However, I am not sure of the reliability and safety. Jansonchua 2nd Gear June 3, 2013 Share June 3, 2013 Guys, help me check if these repairs are relevant: Rear brake drum, rear brake shoe, rear brake pimp, front and rear absorber, spark plug, side link and top mounting. All these for 2k plus... I am going to another WS for second opinion and see what really needs to be changed. Then buy from stockists and pay labour fee. Outspoken Neutral Newbie June 4, 2013 Share June 4, 2013 I've just change both my front and rear suspension...cost around $600. most WS will quote around $800 to $1K. Get all 4 parts from Ric Tac and replaced at your favourite WS. For brake wise better get second opinion from other WS before u make decision. Jansonchua 2nd Gear June 5, 2013 Share June 5, 2013 Hi guys, Got second opinion from another WS. Brakes no need to change after testing on the road. The only problem is engine mounting ($350), shock absorber ($180) and labour $100 only. The WS did not even charge me for checking! Not bad... Can engine mounting be bought from Stockists? Jansonchua 2nd Gear June 5, 2013 Share June 5, 2013 Any idea which WS in Singapore will help to install your spare parts if you buy from stockists? I check that most WS wouldn't want to install because they don't get to make any profit from the parts. ↡ Advertisement
