Drafting88 3rd Gear February 23, 2007 Share February 23, 2007 My family used to stay at Lorong 23 too. But I wasn't born yet. It is now an open air car park... Are you referring to the open car park at Lor 21 instead, which is opposite the old Geylang Sch which now houses a welfare organisation? This car park at Lor 21 used to be the site of staff quarters of the employees of the three different schools.
Redstorm 1st Gear February 25, 2007 Share February 25, 2007 [reply] chinatown, 1960 The top picture is definitely not in Chinatown. You see the Central Fire Station at the end? This is Hock Lam St, long demolished, where the presnet Funan Centre is. Funan is the hanyu pinyin for Hock Lam.

Nutty Thanks for your contributions I saw this pic from the website link you given... and it stated this is Hong Kong Bank ! http://202.172.178.226/DJVUServer/getImage.jsp?file=/picas_data/tn_pcd/19980007450-8263-3201-0181/img0089.jpg (my earlier pic posted) so this is Hong Kong bank which has a tower on top pf the big majestic building beside General Post office building which we were discussing earlier on..so this majestic building is HONG KONG BANK!!What a shame that such a nice building is no longer around. Look at the last pic. Almost no depression at all. Btw wads that man doing? Is he stepping on the boot of the car? Cars then had super skinny and thin tyres but the damage to eth cars in an accident are seldom very serious from what we see today. Time to reduce speed limits on the roads..
