macrosszero Turbocharged February 24, 2007 Share February 24, 2007 Around $5000. That's for the install. That doesn't include paying for fines if you get caught. Its illegal. How fast do you want to go? How much money do you want to spend......

Spinworkx Clutched February 24, 2007 Share February 24, 2007 Hehe, of course it's illegal...if it's not, i'm pretty sure people won't buy turbo cars anymore..just buy a normal one and turbocharge it...then no need to pay more for insurance haha.. As long as it's an engine mod that affects the overall performance, it's illegal...turbo,exhaust all illegal unless approved by LTA... Pick up got various ways to improve...the very first would be better air intake and filtration...do loko around the VOGS forum...it's specifically for Vios owners and i'm sure you will find alot of help there.. Sony 1st Gear February 24, 2007 Share February 24, 2007 (edited) Install turbo is illegal?i dun know about that. so how can i make my vios pick up faster? Don't buy a vios in the 1st place otherwise, go for port and polish, exhaust change, air intake, change bonnet and boot to carbon fiber type, remove seats and change to those light bucket seats, remove spare wheels and lastly, don't carry people except driver. shd be faster by a bit. Remember to change to better suspension but if you are only on straight line, then maybe can save this one up. add on a bigger brake, so with brake must change rim to accomodate the brake. with bigger rim, pick up will be slower, so back to square one, so must change to better tyres... but if it's semi slick, then FC is higher .. so what is your limit? I think you lup in a turbo and factor in the fine and confiscation of car is cheaper.. at least you can have good reason to buy a better car. Chiasin Neutral Newbie February 24, 2007 Share February 24, 2007 Hahahaha The quickest way is to remove the thailand engine and swap a high end 2L Turbo engine ... Change the entire suspension setup .... change the tires wheels ... change the entire header and exhaust .... change the gearbox ... brake system ... chasis and steering ...shift stick ... etc.... Cost about $60K
Evildoer Neutral Newbie February 24, 2007 Share February 24, 2007 i think its common that the engine was also swapped... but ya license kang tong is veri possible...
Sony 1st Gear February 24, 2007 Share February 24, 2007 (edited) Oh.. better to remove air con, power window mechanism, strip off sound proofing (if there's any in the 1st place), and also the ICE. shd shed off some weight also. but most of those I suggest are legal in a way... swop an engine hor, the car will be impounded wor Edited February 24, 2007 by Sony ↡ Advertisement
