Thegodzilla 1st Gear February 27, 2007 Share February 27, 2007 (edited) Finally got my 15 posts, and am to start thread. Will be collecting new car from dealer sometime this week, and am keen to get off to a good start. Car will be bright silver in colour. Very large car, so plenty of surface area to cover Will usually be parked exposed to afternoon-evening sun, and rain splashes. I will most probably be able to spend about 1 hour on cleaning it up each week. Got a maid who used to wash the old car about 2 times a week, but not sure if can trust her on the new car So, am looking for a professional (Non-DIY) solution which is a good balance between ease of maintenance in between, and results (excellent shine). An higher initial cost/work, but easier and better results later on. Was at 1st looking at Glaze. Attracted by its ease of maintenance but from some of the reports here, more suited for dark colour cars. Alot of lao jiao ppl here recommend Klasse for light colour cars, but given that I'm not being able to DIY everyweek myself, abit worried. I'm thinking of bringing it in to Klasse grooming centre Bukit Batok Crescent UNITY CENTRE. Probably about once every 2 months. (I stay very near there) 1) Wash & clay Edited February 27, 2007 by Thegodzilla ↡ Advertisement

I park my car mostly in sheltered carpark.Since yours is silver should be easier to maintain check with Maddriver who is expert in detailing

Marcostan 4th Gear February 27, 2007 Share February 27, 2007 Thegodzilla, U are looking for a professional (Non-DIY) solution which is a good balance between ease of maintenance in between, and results (excellent shine). Bear in mine it's tough for beginner like u. For easy maintenance u must hv your ride well polish, wax & seal in the first place. Here u need to do : The first thing u get your car key and do it ASAP 1. wash 2. clay 3. Klasse AIO or JW prime 4. Klasse SG or JW acyrlic Jett (apply 2-3 layers in 12 hours apart.). After u finish the above steps, ur ride shall be under super protection with top shine. The following step is enhance the wet look and protection : One week after the step 4 u can do the follows: 5. Apply one layer of Collinite 476 or 845 For your weekly, u just need to do the follows: Wash with water dry with Waffer Wave drying cloth and apply a layer of Durgloss 921 or FK425 to maintain the shiny & slickness. If ur ride really dirty then u need to use shampoo instead of water to wash. U need to do the whole process again every 3-4 months DIY is not easy but the result of your hardwork is really
