Well... they drives a euro car and so belong to the elite class. [cool] So elite class people do elite things. Never heard of lock smith mah.... To them lock smith is for opening house door and duplicating of keys only.

Since they preferred to pay let them be. Lock smith on-call = $70/- Breaking window = $300/-. A lesson learnt for them, don't leave your child in vehicle. [scholar][scholar][scholar]

I blame the parents for this. Why should both husband & wife left the vehicle with the child still inside??? Went for a quicky erh..... [sly][sly]

Lucky for me, my toyota will auto-lock the moment I step on the brake when the vehicle in motion.

Without knowing the full story, you start blaming the parents. You mean you are always by the side of your children 24/7?

As a parent yourselves, I'm sure the last thing you want is to leave your children in a dangerous situation. It might be a moment of carelessness.

Won't it be faster and easier if they were to use a diamond cutter? [:/] No worries of glass debrie flying everywhere. A tungsten carbide cutting tool will also do. A small piece is all they need, and they can carry it with them easily.

Try asking a normal locksmith to open a car door and see which is faster.... The brick or the locksmith.

Different car have different locking mechanism and different parameters to lock and unlock the doors.

It's so easy for people to blame people when they read about it. I wonder what is their reaction when they drive a new car and got lock out.

try calling a locksmith? [sly]

Don't be so quick to judge. They could have met a friend and walk out for a chat with door closed. And after 20s the autolock activated.
