hahaa....bro...it is possible, and not too ex..around $6K if i'm not wrong? This topic has been discussed THOROUGHLY at the local Mazda club (you know which one right?)

Having worked closely with the ones responsible for supercharging these Mazdas, I can confidently say that their kits are rock solid. For that reason, I'm contemplating if I should buy a MAzda 3...

why not buy the MZ3 SP20 then supercharge it? Sp20 already got a 0-100 time of 9.1 secs, so supercharging should bring it down to 7 sec? Else if u get the 1.6L one n supercharge it, maybe end up 9 secs nia..

Yes yes yes, I don't deny someones are having it ... but as it is illegal, so I doubt anyone will admit in openly ...

I accompanied my friend to a workshop yesterday in AMK autopoint, the uncle said I got the wrong car (Mazda 3), cos the design is based on Ford or something (european car), and to take up the aircon, need to strip alots of unnecessary parts ... unlike jap cars, stright to the aircon.

As a result, the maintenance is much higher as compared to jap cars designed in jap.

spend $6k for the 2 seconds improvement, not my cup of tea bro.

if the guy is really need for speed, i suggest he drives a BMW M3, not Mazda 3 kekeke

That's why the air con is not as cold as other Jap makes [nod][nod][nod]

If you compare an Altis with a setting of 24 degrees, you'll see the great great difference [:/]

Hi, anyone knows if its possible to change the engine of a mazda3 1.6ltr to a mazda 3 2.0ltr engine?

Can the 2.0ltr engine be fitted on the 1.6 mazda3 sedan? Costs involved and is it street legal?

i got my car just before the 2.0sp came out during last July. So cant sell as lose too much and will rather pay for a 2.0 engine replacement if possible. Else will just continue with my ride and enjoy it for the next few years.

thanks

Pay 1.6L road tax whilst driving a 2L... you think it's legal? [laugh]

If you're worried about legality, will need to write in to LTA for approval, with supporting submissions from the manufacturer of the car. Chances of getting that? Well, what do you think?

sounds similar to the Honda K-series engines.

Supposedly smoother airflow in this configuration.

Instead of the more common way where the air goes to the rear into the engine, comes out from the front and then u-turn back to the rear again [dizzy]

something to do with heat sink.

Even Altis, Vios all using the same set up. But camry still using the old set up.
