Lukesky Neutral Newbie March 20, 2007 Share March 20, 2007 spend $6k for the 2 seconds improvement, not my cup of tea bro. if the guy is really need for speed, i suggest he drives a BMW M3, not Mazda 3 kekeke If $6k too much, can try spending $800 and buy piggyback lor, but duno can achieve 2 secs of improvement or not. Lukesky Neutral Newbie March 20, 2007 Share March 20, 2007 (edited) u should be able to get about 3 secs improvement from stock with 0.5 bar boost.. that's wat I heard... Edited March 20, 2007 by Lukesky
Djmokx Neutral Newbie March 20, 2007 Share March 20, 2007 hi bro, new here. The topic caught my attention. Do you care to elaborate on "piggyback"?
Ronnchee Clutched March 20, 2007 Share March 20, 2007 I know someone with deep pocket, and willing to spend few thousands just for the 2 to 3 seconds improvement, for the shiok feeling. piggyback is more for high end torque, so won't know how many sec improvement. What have you lupped ? SC or piggy ?
Lau_mathew Clutched March 20, 2007 Author Share March 20, 2007 dunno yet. he havent go tune yet. must wait until tuning is done. he dare not run fast now.
Ktgan Neutral Newbie January 5, 2009 Share January 5, 2009 hmm, read from Jan 09 Hotstuff Mag, MG is offering the service to supercharge mazda3, up to 230hp.
Galantspeedz Turbocharged January 5, 2009 Share January 5, 2009 Yes yes yes, I don't deny someones are having it ... but as it is illegal, so I doubt anyone will admit in openly ... I accompanied my friend to a workshop yesterday in AMK autopoint, the uncle said I got the wrong car (Mazda 3), cos the design is based on Ford or something (european car), and to take up the aircon, need to strip alots of unnecessary parts ... unlike jap cars, stright to the aircon. As a result, the maintenance is much higher as compared to jap cars designed in jap. my mch say the same thing, same platform as ford thus everything is a hassle. and when i buy the parts from stockists they give some ford parts. Twofouronenite 1st Gear January 5, 2009 Share January 5, 2009 Didn't Mazda offered the MPS version? That's the TC version.
Ahbengdriver 6th Gear January 5, 2009 Share January 5, 2009 $6k alone where can do properly. If it does give u 100bhp more which I am a little apprehensive, then the upgrades to the internals, exos, brakes, tyres/rims leh? Would it not come up to $20-25k ? Have they chekc how much abuse the stock components can take up to interms of torque or not? If not 1st thing to blow is gearbox...good luck then

Ronnchee Clutched January 5, 2009 Share January 5, 2009 Didn't Mazda offered the MPS version? That's the TC version. MPS is factory turbo. MG is aftermarket turbo, which imo, the potential is unlimited.
macrosszero Turbocharged January 5, 2009 Share January 5, 2009 Factory turbo got factory warranty. Aftermarket turbocharging, if you blow your engine, the mechanic will look at you and tell you, "Brother, its like that one!"
