Ckoonyin Neutral Newbie March 25, 2007 Share March 25, 2007 Hi Peeps, am thinking to change my tyres but due to the small size of my car, am not too sure what can be done with regards to the wheels. My current tyres is the Hankook R702 155/65-R13 Any ideas? ↡ Advertisement
Boyboy 1st Gear March 25, 2007 Share March 25, 2007 change back same tire? last time i was driving a van with 17" rims, i could use yokohama aspec A300, Bridgestone GR80, dunlop LS-200 and falken sincera. as in, they had 13" tyres la.. Not sure if they have it for ur particular size tho. if u not fussy, maybe u can look for ur stock tyre. "new 2nd hand". Some qq owners might have traded in their very new tyres if they go n upsize their rims. cheap and just as good as a brand new stock tyre

Ckoonyin Neutral Newbie March 25, 2007 Author Share March 25, 2007 so far so good............after ironing out some initial problems but budget car also cannot ask for much which 13" tires would be recommended if grip and sound is the main factor? Vit4wd 1st Gear April 1, 2007 Share April 1, 2007 I think your current tyres are fine. Defeats the purpose of buying abudget car if you modify this and that or upsize your tyres & rims. '155' tyres are sufficient for a small 800cc car
Porche 5th Gear April 1, 2007 Share April 1, 2007 upsize to 14inch. the small tyres dun have good grip
Vit4wd 1st Gear April 1, 2007 Share April 1, 2007 Because of your QQ's limited horse power & torque, any upsize in tyre width will result in noticable sluggish pick up and higher fuel consumption.
Toyo 1st Gear April 1, 2007 Share April 1, 2007 a bit difficult to find a good tyre at 13" size. last time on my previous ride using 13" rims, i tried michelin certis, falken sincera, bridgestone and yokohama. these are all the lower end tyre model. if u want to upgrade to 14" do take note of the rim's weight
Liping24 Neutral Newbie April 2, 2007 Share April 2, 2007 Interesting topic... I think QQ should be able to accomodate 14" or even 15" rim without any problem. Since most owners buy the car because its CHEAP.....I don't see the same owners rushing to change the tyres to a better(=costly) so soon. I mean a typical 14" rim +tyres would have cost about $600, it may be expensive to their taste. Mostly they will change only after two yaers when the tyre is botak.
