compressed gas is more dangerous than uncompressed liquid mah..you ask those working with pneumatic and hydraulic which one is more dangerous..most will tell you it's pneumatic..

In CNG, the cylinder is the only pressure vessel. Nothing else. Pneumatics involve compressed air tools. There must be a burst of airflow to work. CNG has the regulator to because you don't need 200bar full pressure AKA full flow for the engine to work. I worked with pneumatic tools before. PSI is not the rating one relies on to power pneumatics. It is CFM.

So here you have a cylinder with compressed storage capacity of 200bar but the actual flow is regulated to lower. Then if there is a leak, those safety valves shut it off.

Possibly worth it convert if you are at MINDEF.

Switched to idle on gas now since Mandai opened. For me, when idle on petrol, petrol use up 1/2 tank over 2.5 weeks. More traffic jams you encounter, more petrol used.

Prob the engine take time to learn because it is on a piggy back concept. The only way to know this is to switch between CNG and see RPM and switch over to petrol and see RPM. If there is a difference when engine is hot, yes retune it. The other issue is your consumption is high may not due to consumption, I assume you went to pump is a very hot Afternoon and the meter reading shows full when it is hot as it cool down the pressure is lost. Also could be you are idling over the checkpoint ...LOL

hi genie,

I have a question... i am looking at the new fit08 with cng ... but the sales man told me something .. the comsumption of the gas of a fit will be around the same as a 1.8stream for example... true?? that mean if fit fetching 18km/l and stream 11km/l switching to cng same amount of 10kg gas will go only 200plus km irregarding of their fuel encomony.

Is this true??

Good to switch fit08 to cng?? if i want to save $$ and i travel alot per day about 200km per day...
