Chosenone Neutral Newbie April 19, 2008 Share April 19, 2008 i encounter that kind of problem after collcting my car..send to the workshop and they replace my spark plugs and retune the cng system..my plugs has a black carbon soot and not firing proper sparks..this is due to poor air fuel mixture
Genie47 1st Gear April 19, 2008 Author Share April 19, 2008 I'll be looking into my plugs again. Also my ignition wire set. It is not original. Might be of poor quality. I'll be visiting Rockauto.com for the parts taking advantage of the USD/SGD rate.
Kianbeng Clutched April 20, 2008 Share April 20, 2008 for those who never go to JB, CNG does make sense. For those who go JB, CNG also make sense.
Genie47 1st Gear April 20, 2008 Author Share April 20, 2008 I do so to keep my petrol still fed on Malaysian petrol. Car needs to be washed. Groceries especially psyllium husks need to be bought (I need the fibre). And of course, fed with some Malaysian CNG to keep running costs down even lower. Application9999 Clutched April 20, 2008 Share April 20, 2008 so far..we don't hv 3/4 tank rule for CNG..so it make sense if we live near the causeway...
Kianbeng Clutched April 20, 2008 Share April 20, 2008 Very nice pictures! How I wish we can consolidate all these precious CNG installation photos to 1 place. Btw, I think it'ld be nice to spray paint the CNG cylinders to black or something so that it blends in better. But is it legal? I guess it should be ok without covering the labels? Kianbeng Clutched April 20, 2008 Share April 20, 2008 I frequently go JB also but the side where I often travel...don't think have CNG leh. There's a Petronas but I don't think I saw any CNG pumps..... But I thought most Petronas have?
Genie47 1st Gear April 21, 2008 Author Share April 21, 2008 Must look for one with the NGV sign. The ones I know: Tampoi Utama Pasir Gudang Highway Pasir Gudang Industrial Park (near Johor Port at Jln Gangsa) Senai Airport Jln Datin Halimah otherwise known as JB NGV Sentral. Friendstar Supercharged April 21, 2008 Share April 21, 2008 It's isolated to only D_ak and my car. Manuals. The CNG taxis never have this problem. Automatic transmission. CNG will not ROI JB petrol. However, you have not factored in the political factor that is in MY. That is the biggest risk above all. They have clobbered us over CLOB 10yrs ago, they have did this and that. Some are rumors though some are not. I'm still getting petrol and CNG from JB. However the most important thing I have is that reliance on JB petrol has been reduced. My "expense risk" has been reduced far lower than anyone's through "expense diversification". I have far above any driver in SG using petrol exclusively, I have the power of choice. MSK escaped and made leaving SG customs hell. I stayed in and filled up on gas. Now things have cleared up somewhat I return to JB for gas, car washings and petrol not to mention the cheaper breakfast. Policy changes, I got choices. Price changes, I got choices. With petrol alone be it JB or locally. There is only 1 choice as George Lam says. Count JB petrol, you got 2. I have 5. I am. FREE. Hi genie, cars like mine, Picnic AT, will never have ur problems? cos i hear u all stall like no tomorrow is getting me slightly scared.

Kianbeng Clutched April 21, 2008 Share April 21, 2008 hmm all quite far. Think nearest is Tampoi which is where I pass by everytime. Is it along the main road? Ya I was looking for NGV signs on the Petronas signboard where they usually put things like "ATM", .....

Genie47 1st Gear April 21, 2008 Author Share April 21, 2008 From Jln Skudai (Skudai Highway towards Senai), turn left towards Taman Perling (to Linkdua). You will see it as the first Petronas you come across. That is the Tampoi Utama NGV station.
