Supercharged

1) depends. if B reaction is slower, then i go first after ensuring that coast is clear. if the front part of my car is jutting out & blocking lane 2, B wld jolly let me go first.

2) refer to (1)

3) both at fault. driving is not abt who has the upper hand. it is abt achieving a win-win situation. my driving policy is never to let car workshop or insurance companies milking me if i can help it. but there are bummers who dun see it.

another 3 questions? [laugh]

1) Best time to shift up for FC or drag? for FC, can generally follow 2nd gear 15km/h, 3rd gear 30+km/h.. 4th at 50km/h... etc. For drag, can look at your power/torque curve to find the powerband..

2) Best time to shift down.. brake until your speed is within the gear's speed, then down shift to reduce wear, or u can rev-match the gears to the engine speed. try not to shift when turning..

3) I suppose u can.. What u said is something like double clutch downshifting, xcept u rev when u're in neutral. Usually ppl do that when the synchros are worn out and they find it hard to shift into gears, prolongs the gearbox alittle longer

hope it helps [rolleyes]

imo...

1. depends who makes the first move. if i see car B start to turn out le, i'll wait.

2. same as 1.

3. Same as normal lo.. behind at fault. unless car B is alread on the 2nd lane and car A eat into car B's lane.

let's base on a 3 lane road.

Car A is directly infront of Car B on the most left lane aka 3rd lane and a taxi had stopped infront to drop a passenger causing long queue on lane 3.

Car A and Car B decided to switch to lane 2 and they ON their right signal while waiting for lane 2 to clear before proceed.both cars know each other are going to switch to lane 2.

obviously Car B who is behind will normally be able to switch to lane 2 earlier than Car A.

so the questions are:

1)If you are Car A will you wait for Car B to go first before turning into lane 2?

2)If you are Car B,will you turn out first but let Car A proceed infront of you?

3)If both cars don't want to give way causing an accident hitting Car A's right side and Car B's front left side, who will be at fault?

So you are Car A or Car B or Taxis??

Car A is in the wrong without checking on the blind spot. You should be the Car A if i'm not wrong.
