Hello folks, I'm driving a Lancer and need all your advice and pointers for my first 1000km servicing at C&C. What are the things I need to take note of for the servicing, for example what needs to be checked, engine oil? coolant? etc and what is the expected cost. Can give tips?

I'm new to this whole business of car ownership. tongue.gif

1000km servicing should just be replacement of engine oil & the oil filter plus the standard checking [nod][nod][nod]

You may wanna to report on those minor issue i.e Air cold not cold, transmission not smooth, funny noise ... etc [nod][nod][nod]

Thanks so much for the replies so far... smile.gif

I've read that C&C servicing is really ex after the first 2 free labor ones (1K and 5K). just wondering if it's the norm to just void the warantee and do cheaper servicing outside. or on top of the C&C servicing, go to own autoshop to do some servicing like oil change, air con maintenance, tire rotation etc.

IMHO, think it is better for you to do the 1K and 5K servicing with the agent. During this period of break-in, any issue should surface and you still can get the agent to service FREE. Their $$ is high, I know, but that just in case.

I do my 1-5K with them and then bye-bye to them after that. So far so good, no issue at all until now. Hope this help !

Just an update for my 1000km servicing at C&C Leng Kee. Cost was $52.50 for the oil and filter change. which was as what others in the forum have quoted. Sent my car in at 1.30 ready only about 5pm! thumbsdown.gif super long wait, but actually car was already ready for collection earlier , don't know at what time, the guy there said he'll call me when car is ready at bout 4-5pm, but when i didn't get a call at 4.45 yet i went down n ask him, he told me my car is already ready. means i waited for nothing for who knows how long. (gave him a bad feedback in the survey form)

but one thing was good was the customer waiting lounge, got Osim massage chair (nua for 1hr there), TV, magazines, computers (can surf net and play CS! rifle.gif).

overall experience i give 6/10 if waiting time shorter then can give 9/10.
