Liping24 Neutral Newbie May 15, 2007 Share May 15, 2007 What is the BEST dry grip tyre for daily use on a Suzuki Swift 15" rim? Not concern about noise, they can sound like tiger roar also no problem. Not concern about wet grip as I am not likely to drive in the rain nor speed on wet ground. Not concern about price, any brand, etc. But MUST be street legal and available in Singapore. ↡ Advertisement

Fabulous Neutral Newbie May 15, 2007 Share May 15, 2007 Bro... Even if you don't drive fast or speed in rainy days, there will be chances that you may do emergency brake if someone cuts in or car in front E-Brake, what happens if you lose grip?? Buang how? Relagsingh 4th Gear May 15, 2007 Share May 15, 2007 Bridgestone RE-01R or Advan AD07 Read the tests here: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/TireTe...=Potenza+RE-01R
Nhrisuzu 1st Gear May 15, 2007 Share May 15, 2007 i just love those threads.. noise wise.. i find it still tolerable..
Relagsingh 4th Gear May 15, 2007 Share May 15, 2007 i believe what the TS asked for is a tyre primarily for dry handling rather than semi slicks. semi slicks will specifically state that the tyres are not ADVISABLE for wet weather driving. no cause for concern here. tyre manufacturers are not so 'silly' to design dry performance tyres without putting in wet handling capabilities. they still do perform well in the wet, but aces everything else during dry conditions. btw, cars seldom buang. buang for car means lying on its side or turtle liao. usually the term is used for bikes or bikers. Chevycavy 1st Gear May 15, 2007 Share May 15, 2007 I vote for Bridgestone RE-01R as well. Fantastic dry grip. Do not go for Eagle F1 as they're totally the opposite of what you want.

Ahbengdriver 6th Gear May 15, 2007 Share May 15, 2007 u got 15 inch nia. U shld put on a wider/bigger rim so that u can fit wider tyres for more grip n contact with road.
Jchuacl Clutched May 15, 2007 Share May 15, 2007 Is your profile 195/55? If yes, you can also indent S-02 but might be a bit costly. For AD07, some reviews indicated the sidewall is a bit too soft for 15 inch. For me even though I'm on 17", I do feel that the sidewall was a bit soft for my liking. The road noise is horrible after 15-20K and felt unusable at about 30K. For RE-01R, it should be ok though I'm not sure whether the performance is the same for 15" as compared with 17". The tyre is so quiet for a performance tyre that I think most people who have used it will return to use it. In fact, I'm already using a second set until another good tyre appears. Note that the above tyres will give u the feeling of an ultimate grip which will taper off quite a fair bit after 20k of usage. Linus Clutched May 15, 2007 Share May 15, 2007 BF Goodrich is pretty good in dry. 195/55/15 is between 80-85 bucks. what's the profile of your 15 inch rim ? satisfy both of your "non-concern".

Then Semi-Slicks will be your best friend. Toyo R888, Yoko A048, Falken Azenis RT615, Bridgestone S-03, RE01-R, RE540, Continental ContiSportContact2 . Why not try AD07, it's an affordable tyre with good grip! It's actually a normal tyre with semi-slicks compound. Toyo R1R will have a better grip but the price is more expensive! If you want a normal tyre can go for Eagle F1 Edited May 15, 2007 by Icetrap
Jchuacl Clutched May 16, 2007 Share May 16, 2007 The thread starter asked for street legal tyres, and semi slicks are not street legal. ↡ Advertisement
