Thankfully the car has improve in looks compare to this early build. If the car looks like the picture, I doubt it can sell well.

Can't be too sure about this. Although cars there are damn cheap, & the Amerians are damn rich, alot of them feel getting a US$30K car (like the lancer evolution) is consider expensive,...guess they r not car 'slaves' like SG. The NSX is also suppose to be Ferrari Killer, but it didn't really set the world on fire as Honda wanted, as its selling price is too high (for a Honda).

My guess is that It will still sell well in US, especially to the hardcore import fans, but not amazing well like the 350Z over there cos of the pricing & brand.

I feel the same for you. But I think most of the owners for the GTR in the states will be asians. [laugh]

Especially, the indons, hongkies, taiwanese and maybe some rich singaporeans.

But on the other hand, the S2K did quite well in the states.

Ya. I dont visit GR because i'm so stupid like you.

I based on the figure that the magazine gives. 8million yen for the basic GTR is estimated to be SGD$300k. With a 20million yen car, it will cost more than $500k. Which is what a GT3 cost in Japan.

So ah boy, read more know more. Don't anyhow spend your papa's hardearn money in GR while sitting in GR welding parts for money splurgers.

In western countries, especially in Europe. Things need to be stylish & refine, not just perform well to sell. S2000 & 350Z do well as they have looks to back up the performance.

If I live in US or Australia, I probably wouldn't get a import car, wait kanna sterotype... Last time I in Australia, almost all the flashy, loud import cars r given by Asians. many driving like Shumacher wanna. Really a turnoff at times.

yeah. If I recall, apparently the GTR share some features off the 350z chassis. Nonetheless, can't wait for it to see it up front on the roads !

buy 1 in aussie...

if this car can make it into america, a lot of them will buy.

haha assuming Nissan Australia is even bringing it in. Bearing in mind most GTRs are JDM imports. To bring the new GTR to Australia will mean that they are able to service and rectify faults on a GTR. Problem is Nissan Australia has been selling too many Sunnys, Muranos, maxima etc and I wonder if they have the expertise. [rolleyes]

I have a feeling if Australia does sell it, it will be on limited numbers. From precedent cases such as the Evo 8, Mitsubishi sold them at rocket prices due to limited numbers. When Evo 9 was released, they decided to sell them at 10k cheaper causing the 8 owners to feel a little sore.

With the GTR if it is on limited numbers, most likely it'll be exactly like Mitsubishi's case.

For now, 2nd hand R34 GTR V Spec II is going at $80-100k aud mark. I can't imagine what the new GTR pricing will be. [sweatdrop]

It's also happening in singapore. EVO 9 to EVO 9MR.

You can always use the 8million yen as a guideline.

8million yen is about $104000 which is the OMV for the basic GTR. It depends on how much discount they can get for it too.

The last GTR V Spec II was transacted $200k+ with mods.
