Spinworkx Clutched May 22, 2007 Share May 22, 2007 You say the 125.4 amp plus speaker plus a 10 sub for $1.5k? Actually, that's very expensive. The options you mentioned should be about 1k at most, and nothing more than that.... But yes, what you mention is good for a basic setup under 1k... Dunno Neutral Newbie May 22, 2007 Share May 22, 2007 Yup, it's expensive, assuming you are using your own HU. If including labour, should cost less than $1.2k.

Nerdyfrog Neutral Newbie May 22, 2007 Share May 22, 2007 very expensive, if u mean below: Db drive 4ch spa 125.4 + mb quart + DB drive spa 10" + install, might as well get full db drive set up. DB Drive PT6.2 components speakers.

Xiaogary Neutral Newbie May 22, 2007 Share May 22, 2007 I think the amp is abt $400 or less market rate. The MB Quart is it is DSE 216, then its old stock, should be abt $280-300. If newer DSF 216, basically sounds almost 99.9% the same, should be abt $350-380. The sub shoould be abt less $180-200. The power cabling plus fuse should cost abt $25-30. The RCA cable should be abt $10 each. You need 2 RCA. Subwoofer box should be abt $40. Total is abt $400 + ($280 to $380) + ($180 to 200) + ($25-30) + $20 + $40 = $545 to $670. If you buy all from a shop, labour should be free. I don't believe in paying for labour. At least the shop I go don't charge labour although their price of each item is either cheaper or same price as Sim Lim Tower. Max max, for such set up, you should pay $800 to $900. Should not even hit $1k. Your quote too ex. And somemore, DSE216 discus series is a entry level MB Quart. I use before.

Theoldjaffa Hypersonic May 23, 2007 Share May 23, 2007 hi xiaogary, i realise you are using the Cadence Z4000 4 X 75w rms at 4 ohm amp to drive your CDT ES62i Gold 6.5 inch 200w rms 60-20KHz 6.5 inch Component Speaker. is there any difference using a lower rms amp driving a higher rms speaker compared to using a higher rms amp? the reason i'm asking is because my amp is 4x40w rms 4ohms and i'll be buying the CL62 which is about 150w rms. is my amp grossly underpowered and thus will affect sound quality?
