And your HIDs are very cool in color when it come to leveling. Next time got chance, convoy together with us, seldom got chance to see so many HIDs shine thru your rear windows... laugh.gif

No worries at all! My HID comes factory fitted. If let say there is a ban, I would expect CnC to do something about it. wink.gif

i'm only against those aftermkt HID which throw all over the place. I have no issue for those stock HID that have the proper levelling device etc. In fact, there is a fair number of vehicles on the road with stock halogen headlights that are pointed way too high. They should catch those vehicles too.

oii....my bro PL car has HID and also the auto-leveling...so how pass or no pass??

What's the type of bulb use? If denoted by "H" something one, most likely aftermarket, factory fitted ones should use bulbs of D1R D1S D2R D2S.

Of course... but who is gonna pay for the cost? Especially those original factory fitted? Gotta buy the whole headlamp module?

Don't mean to sound bad but one could always revert to the originals lamps.

Bro, think only affects those after-market conversions.. not original installations from car manufacturer. Also, if I am not mistaken, LTA stand on HID is that, if the car has original conversion options, then it's ok.. cause it is via the car manufacturer.

Ha.. laugh.gifThen I think thread starter should be posting something CLEARER instead of:

Heard anything about T.P recalling all vehical with HID light and have it change to the normal light..I heard HID is going to be ban soon..

any comment??

i personally dont see any problem with HID.

TP worries is because

1. it might invokes explosion due to electric overloaded

2. blind drivers ahead of u

i dont see these are points to ban HID.

1. even orange light also can blind people, i ganna b4, make me having difficulties to drive

2. is all how your car technician install the HID light, point downwards or upwards.

3. dont be surprise, orange light is brighter then HID 8000k below

rules is set by TP, being a drivers, we have to follow.

TP should be working on catching road hoggers and others that irritate the road traffic

A general misconception from local. Rules are not "set" by TP, rules are "set" by people representative [indirectly meaning general public].

TP are just executing them. So are Police.

i've not heard anything but i think its recycled old news... which was vague to begin with.

a blanket ban would not only be ridiculous, but would also beg questions from international companies such as VW who have relocated here, the filthy rich we are trying to attract with the IR whose exotics are the only ones in the world without HIDs...and ironically come with non-manufacturer approved halogens.

however along the same lines if the issue is blinding lights, and the regulation "revert to manufacturer stock" then all modified headlights - including tinted, "eye trims", white lights, higher power lights - and perhaps even tinted tailamps - should all be fixed to address the general issue of blinding lights.

its a japanese mpv and the auto levelling work by auto self ajustment to the road condition when driven(i have not drievn but that whats my bro say)he mention a cheaper type also exist but operate by manual switch ....

need more specific model... japan mpv so many type... u got stream, wish...etc...

not all the models are having standard factory fit HID, only certain models n grade came standard with one.

the manual adjustment is not auto-levelling, those are strictly for Halogen. if u have a factory fitted HID, they should not come with the manual adjustment dial.

Doubt so lah....HID is infact a active safety feature. But if people suka suka anyhow fit aftermarket ones that its not rite..cos the design of the headlamp is not for HID. So the intense light will blind other road users.

Lexus, Merc, BMW HID got no problem mah....its usually those that uses normal halogen lights that go and fit liao give pple problem.

Ban HID ? Might as well ban rear fog lights...anyone that switches them on fine 1K immediately....those are lagi dangerous IMHO than HID.

hi...Rear fog light...??..frankly,i don't know whats that..you mean there is a spot light beaming from the back of the car while driving...please advice..thank..

Rear foggies are those that is in the brake lights...just that it shine much brighter than normal brake lights. Usually only 1 side of the car only. Use for those places where they have foggy weathers as the bright red light can shine thru the fogs.

But in clear weather Singapore...its like having a spot right shining in your face when you drive.

For those who bought cars with illegal modifications, the LTA advises them to keep documentation proof.

why need documentation proof when it is illegal in the first place??
