yah bro, tried the mapking.

I already review in this thread. Map is good, Navigation sucks. if both good i would have paid

I agree with your observation, i kenna also

the distance error to turn is like this

---A-------

--B| |----

....| |

....C

suppose it ask you to turn left from C

Mapking measure from C to A

R66 measure from C to B

If a large junction the difference can be easily 50m or more. So mapking confuse people. whereas R66 turn now really means turn now.

what's more i kenna 2 close junctions, MK ask me to turn right but map showing to turn right next junction. lousy programming

You can save these as landmarks. You can create a new category call say Speed Cam to save them.

Then, enable the audio alarm at 500M or whatever distance. Once you are reaching these cams, the alarm will sound and you will drive at designated speed.

i create the category, but how to enable audio alarm at 500M or whatever distance?

can guide me? [sweatdrop]

It's under option>setting>alarm>landmark>

Mark the created category Speedcam. there'll be a prompt to change alarm setting.

enable audio alarm and choose a tone.

alternatively, u can also use the phone voice recorder and record

"Speed cam lai liao in 500m" and use it as the alarm. laugh.gif

Here's my contribution for Nokia 6110 FIXED Speed Cam Location (Lat & Long)

This is for those who are using Nokia 6110 Navigator.

Here are some positions of Stationary Speed Cam in SG

You can save these as landmarks. You can create a new category call say Speed Cam to save them.

Then, enable the audio alarm at 500M or whatever distance. Once you are reaching these cams, the alarm will sound and you will drive at designated speed.

Please feel free to add the locations of more Speed Cam not listed here.

The accuracy of the location may be slightly a few M off (it's manually estimated). Use it at your own risk. Also I find that this position is displayed differently in different GPS Apps such as Nokia Maps and Mapking

Hmmm... maybe i m wols. Just found out a method to input /backup the landmarks.

i created a Fixed SpeedCam lmx file (See attached).

Basically just DL this file to ur PC and the Bluetooth it to ur 6110.

Open the received file, then "Option", Save "All Landmarks".

Go to ur "Landmarks", u should be able to c the "SpeedCam" category with the 9 fixed speedcam location. [:)]

Curious, how do you manage to find out this method? it is very good for input landmark, however, how to output the existing landmark as backup?

Wonder is there some software we can use to edit the map, something like www.malsingmaps.com so that we can collectively contribute to the update.
