Multi 3rd Gear April 28, 2004 Author Share April 28, 2004 Hi, Anyone knows where's the IAT or Intake Air Temperature sensor or connector located for Trajet 2.0 engine? Or does it have one? The purpose of this sensor is to measures the temperature of the air and send the data to the ECU for proper timing and fuel. Anyone? Pls advise? Zafira18 1st Gear April 28, 2004 Share April 28, 2004 Are youn referring to MAS?(Mass Airflow sensor)? Should be located between air filter and throttle body. Unless your car dont have one cos my brother matrix also dun come with it.

Unless your car dont have one cos my brother matrix also dun come with it. I don't know if the MAS is the same as IAT cos the purpose of IAT is to measured the air temp. I tried looking around but can't see any. If matrix don't it then I think trajet also the same. I read somewhere that if a car does not have the IAT or MAS, it will have CTS - coolant temp sensor to sense the temp of the coolant and then send the data to the ECU. It this true, then what's the point of having C.A.I cos the reading from the coolant will always be high....but if it take the temp from the air filter then it will be different. Anyway, still like to know whether trajet engine c/w IAT or CTS

Finetuning? I don't think so. Been driving for a year now, need no any finetuning at all. Maybe you are refering to the first batch of trajet in 2000. There are some problem for that batch but since 2001 onwards, problem no longer there.... Now 2004, the engine c/w CVVT feature. Interior improvement. Price lower. Its the best so far...go for a test drive today and you'll know what I mean...

I got about 9.5km/L on average after some simple mod. I think its reasonable considering its a 2.0 full MPV. So ok la... At this time where new car is so cheap, who would like to buy a used car unless pricing is low, it happens to other brand too nit only trajet... Jagash Neutral Newbie May 4, 2004 Share May 4, 2004 I scrapped my 3-1/2 years old Trajet 3 month ago (117,000 km). FC was 7.5 km/litre consistently over this time. I did grounding and put magnet on the fuel line as well as broquet in the fuel tank but not much help. I really love the car for it stable road handling and when it is cruising but pick up is terrible especially when coming out from a slip road. Maintaining the Trajet is quite costly! You need to change timing belt, water pump etc every 60,000km and is quite expensive. Cheers and enjoy your car!

Jagash Neutral Newbie May 5, 2004 Share May 5, 2004 I am driving a Civic ES5 now! I have 3 kids and the Civic flat floor at the rear serves me well. FC is 12km/litre 70% highway 30% city but I am quite heavy footed. I figured that I probably need 7 seats 5% of the time only so is it worth spending an extra $200-250 on petrol each month? (I travel an average of 3000 km each month). Cheers! ↡ Advertisement
